WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 23
On the heels of a newsworthy Survivor Series that saw Sheamus cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase and defeat Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Vince McMahon and his crack staff of creative writers needed to deliver an episode of Raw that capitalized on the slight momentum the company had coming out of Sunday's WWE Network broadcast.
Instead, they phoned it in, with matches that seemed to have no purpose and angles that fans could see coming from a mile away.
Worst of all was the fact that they did nothing at all to convince fans to buy into Sheamus as a legitimate and credible champion after months of lousy booking.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
For what feels like the umpteenth time here in 2015, WWE Creative failed fans, offering up a lackluster product that felt more like the staff was bored with its own creation than energized following Sunday's pay-per-view.
At a time when television ratings are down and overall excitement and anticipation for the product is almost nonexistent, the company needed a statement show.
Unfortunately, the only statement it made was "we're sleepwalking through this month."
WWE Creative was clearly the biggest loser from Monday's show, earning any and all criticism that is sure to come its way. But through the darkness, a handful of Superstars and Divas still managed to emerge as legitimate winners.
And, as usual, one or two were definitive losers.
Winner: Paige
The British-born Anti-Diva continued to roll as a heel Monday night, first cutting a promo that insisted Charlotte cheated her way to victory at SummerSlam via an arm under the rope while applying her Figure Eight finisher.
She never quite explained how that would benefit the champion, but Paige is a heel, so little details like that do not get in the way of a good excuse.
Later in the night, she got the rematch she demanded against Charlotte. Showing unbridled intensity and rage, she settled for a count-out victory over the "Genetically Superior" Diva and proceeded to further her assault of the champion by applying the PTO on top of the commentary table.
Love or hate the segment from last week, that coupled with Sunday's Survivor Series performance and an even better one on Raw has helped Paige become one of the hottest heels in the industry.
Considering the status of the other villains on the show, it is a wonder that McMahon and company have managed to get her so right.
Losers: Sheamus, King Barrett and Rusev
For a brief moment in time, it felt as though a foreign regime of Superstars would attack Reigns, leave him in a heap and establish their dominance over WWE. King Barrett attacked the juggernaut during Monday's main event, drawing a disqualification and saving Rusev from certain defeat. Rather than beat down an exhausted Reigns, both of those men were pummeled with a steel chair, as was new world heavyweight champion Sheamus as Reigns stood tall to end the show.
Anyone who had any preconceived notions that Sheamus' title victory would somehow result in stronger booking all of a sudden was smacked back to reality Monday night when he appeared to be little more than a pawn in The Authority's game of chess with Reigns.
Rusev and Barrett looked like complete jobbers as Reigns took them out to close out the broadcast.
What could have been the start of something special was, instead, a major creative blunder on the part of a WWE Creative team that could not find its way out of a paper bag, let alone effectively book a heel trio at this point.
The foundation is certainly there for Rusev, Barrett and Sheamus to form some sort of alliance, but they will need to be booked infinitely better than Monday night if anyone is to take them seriously.
Winners: The Wyatt Family
One night after a loss to The Brothers of Destruction at Survivor Series, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper rebounded by dismantling The Dudley Boyz and picking up a convincing victory over the future Hall of Famers.
Bray looked motivated on the heels of yet another high-profile loss and really brought with him an intensity we have not seen in quite some time.
The faction laid out Bubba Ray and D-Von after the bell, further establishing itself on a higher level than the multiple-time tag team champions.
The Wyatt Family needed a strong bounce back and statement win and got it Monday night. Now all they need is an opportunity to win a high-profile feud to win back some of the credibility they have lost over time and in countless programs with John Cena, Undertaker, Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
Winners: The New Day
No act in wrestling right now is better than The New Day.
And that is not hyperbole.
Don't believe me? Just ask intercontinental champion Kevin Owens, who rejected one fan's notion that he was the best part of WWE.
"Thanks but New Day. https://t.co/MgDaZsKx07

The trio of Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston knows how to work a crowd while simultaneously bringing the fun and entertainment. The New Day's in-ring work has been fantastic as well. All together, they have transformed from a failure as babyfaces to the most must-see aspect of any WWE program.
Monday night, they tore country music a new one in Nashville, with Big E questioning the content ("How many songs are there about tractors?!"), Kofi Kingston repeatedly reminding fans that the genre sucks and Xavier Woods debuting the next big hit ("Momma, don't let your daughters grow up to be BOOTY").
It was a brilliant segment that further demonstrated just how much the trio of young stars gets and understands creativity in a day and age when everything is so scripted and one-dimensional. From Kingston's unicorn horn to the massive Big E never hesitating to poke fun at himself with a small cowboy hat and Woods blowing on that damn trombone, they get it in a way no one else does right now, making them an absolute joy to watch every week.
They completely overshadowed their babyface counterparts in The Usos and Lucha Dragons. WWE Creative will have to deal with this issue in the future, because at this point, New Day's popularity is only going to rise.
