WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for November 23

Ryan DilbertNov 23, 2015

Sheamus is poised to celebrate alongside The Authority with the world championship in hand and a warrior charging at him on Monday's WWE Raw.

The Irish powerhouse cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to end the Survivor Series pay-per-view. The moment underwhelmed. The narrative felt hollow.

Can WWE turn that around and make a Sheamus reign more compelling than many expect? How does this switch at the top affect Raw's limping ratings?

Roman Reigns, fresh off having his hands on the gold for just a moment, will be hunting down The Celtic Warrior. Paige, Dolph Ziggler and perhaps The Usos, will be doing their own pursuing as well.

A backstage report, tweets and James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com give fans a good idea of what to expect as WWE builds on what unfolded at Survivor Series and begins the first stages of constructing the TLC card.

News, Potential Spoilers

Even with two 10-man elimination bouts on the PPV card, Cesaro didn't make an appearance. It looks like he has joined the long list of Superstars on the shelf.

Jim Ross tweeted that he caught wind of a potential shoulder surgery coming for Cesaro:

WWE has yet to confirm the injury, but Cesaro's absence on Sunday night seems to back that up. He likely wasn't going to be a major part of WWE's plans on Raw and beyond, but the roster's depth was already hurting before this.

Dave Meltzer noted on F4WOnline that Ric Flair was at Survivor Series. The Nature Boy didn't end up making an appearance at the show. Will he continue to travel with the roster and pop in on Monday's Raw?

With Charlotte celebrating a big win at the PPV and WWE insistent on leaning on her family name for storyline purposes, it wouldn't be surprising if Flair joined her in Nashville to celebrate.

Tennessee native James Storm is at least planting the idea that he'll be at the show, too. The former TNA star seemed to tease on Twitter that he would be involved on Raw:

That would just be Storm working fans, though. WWE has barely used him on NXT. To have him hop up to the main roster without any momentum would be extremely surprising.

Curtis Axel is doing his own teasing, although, it's not clear what he's saying.

The little-used wrestler posted two cryptic videos on Twitter recently:

Whether this is just Axel messing around because he's bored or the early stages of a company-sponsored angle remains to be seen. If there was anytime where Axel might get a run, it'd be a stretch where WWE was missing a host of names from John Cena to Seth Rollins.

PWTorch's James Caldwell noted that Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, Kane, The Wyatt Family, Sheamus and Reigns are among those advertised for Monday's show.

Survivor Series Fallout

What's next for Bray Wyatt?

After promising to bring an apocalypse onto Undertaker and Kane, he instead suffered a loss in a forgettable match. WWE saluted The Deadman. The Eater of Worlds faded into the background.

The five-point preview, though, suggested that this story may not be over. Either that, or Wyatt is set to go into another period of hibernation. In his five-point preview, Wortman wrote, "Might buzzards circle Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, or have The Undertaker and Kane forced The Eater of Worlds into exile to plan his next move?"

It's hard to imagine Undertaker continuing to be involved with this angle. He's more likely going to rest up until WrestleMania season.

A safer bet is that Wyatt has a verbal retort for the defeat The Brothers of Destruction handed him.

With the WWE title tournament and Survivor Series grabbing so much focus of late, the tag team championship scene has been neglected. That looks set to change.

The New Day don't have a clear rival. They may be taking on a number of foes at once. Wortman asked of the champs, "Will their Survivor Series opponents The Usos and The Lucha Dragons ride their wave of momentum against the WWE Tag Team Champions on Raw?"

The upcoming TLC PPV would be the ideal time to cram a number of teams into a single bout, with them all battling in a ladder match. WWE could well be planting the first seeds of that matchup on Monday night.

As for the Divas Championship picture, Paige may not be stepping away from it just yet despite a decisive loss at Survivor Series.

Of Charlotte and Paige, Wortman wrote, "Will we see fireworks between these onetime PCB allies on Raw?"

That's probably the case, even as much as fans want to see Sasha Banks get her shot. WWE making Charlotte and Paige's contract signing last week the main event on Raw points to this being a somewhat high-priority feud.

Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler's rivalry isn't over, either. Prince Pretty knocked off the babyface on Sunday. He'll likely get another crack before long.

Wortman wrote, "How will Breeze and Summer Rae celebrate on Raw? Moreover, will Ziggler crash the festivities?"

That points to Ziggler looking for some payback on Monday. That makes sense, as this story has just gotten started. Chances are there are two more bouts coming between Breeze and The Showoff.

Reigns' battle with The Authority will be the centerpiece of the show, though.

The Big Dog speared Triple H rather than shake his hand at Survivor Series. That alone assures him some retribution from the corporate tyrant. Wortman teased at that when he asked, "Following The Big Dog's defiant actions at Survivor Series, has Triple H devised new ways to keep Reigns away from the championship for the foreseeable future?"

In theory, Reigns should be guaranteed a rematch. But it can't be as easy as that.

Even after just reaching the mountaintop at Survivor Series, Reigns isn't done climbing.
