WWE Rumors: Examining Latest Buzz Around Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan and More
With both Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan not around right now, those WWE Superstars' fans have to subsist on rumors rather than in-ring action involving them as Survivor Series nears.
Lesnar is reportedly poised to appear more than previously negotiated. And there's a possibility fans could see Bryan come back. A backstage report discussed where Vince McMahon currently stands on the issue of clearing the former world champ to compete again.
Other rumors focused on Billy Gunn's exit from the company, Roman Reigns' title hopes and how Seth Rollins fit into the WrestleMania 32 picture.

Rumored Changes to Brock Lesnar's Contract
After outlasting Undertaker at Hell in a Cell, Lesnar hasn't been seen since. It's not clear when he will come storming back into WWE, but chances are it won't be long.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Wrestling Inc), WWE has renegotiated with Lesnar to add more dates and more money to his deal.
That's not a surprise with both Rollins and Randy Orton out with injuries for the next several months. The company has been leaning on Undertaker far more than it has in years, but that's not sustainable.
Lesnar is the cavalry set to march in.
TLC would seem like a pay-per-view to bring him back, but fans would have said the same thing about Night of Champions last year. It's more likely, though, that he arrives in time for the Royal Rumble, an event that is generally thought of as the first leg of the road to WrestleMania.
Backstage News on Billy Gunn
NXT is reportedly short one trainer thanks to a failed drug test that WWE didn't even issue.
Gunn, who had been working at the WWE Performance Center and appeared on WWE Tough Enough as a trainer, was apparently training for a powerlifting competition. According to F4WOnline (h/t Wrestle Zone), Gunn failed a test due to elevated testosterone levels. The test was issued by the powerlifting organization, not WWE.
WWE only recently discovered this that Gunn had tested positive. According to the F4WOnline report, the company doesn't test coaches and trainers. But when it heard of Gunn getting busted, it wanted to avoid making the developmental system look bad, and so it let him go.
One would imagine that there's a chance a change of policy is on the way, with everyone getting tested. Or at least trainers' contracts will include language about banned substances to make things clear moving forward.
Plans for Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
Reigns' detractors aren't going to want to hear this. The Big Dog is on course to win the WWE title.
According to PWInsider (h/t Wrestling Inc), WWE has not been in panic mode since Rollins went down to injury partly because it was close to crowning Reigns anyway. The reported plan was to have Reigns be the champ heading into WrestleMania season. That plan is still in the works.
No one will be surprised there. He's the clear favorite. How he wins is the bigger question than if he will win.
The PWInsider report also noted that Rollins' injury didn't affect WrestleMania plans. The company already has three to four matches locked in. And Rollins being out doesn't change that.
That presumably means that Rollins wasn't high on the priority list in terms of big matches at the event. That's unexpected considering how much WWE has seemingly been teasing a future Triple H-Rollins showdown.
Latest on Daniel Bryan's Future
Information about Bryan's WWE status has been scarce of late. Since getting pulled out of action in April with a concussion, he and fans have been asked to play the waiting game.
A recent report suggested that there may be a decision on the way. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t PWMania.com) reports that, while it's not clear whether the latest tests are in, McMahon has reportedly gone back and forth on the Bryan situation.
That could mean that McMahon is set to change his mind and let the former WWE champ wrestle again. He has essentially held Bryan hostage in recent months, not letting him go or letting him perform. That stalemate can't last forever.
A frustrated Bryan is likely to start demanding that something happen soon.
If WWE is fearful of Bryan's health despite doctors believing him ready to compete, that's fine. It's their company. It can't just ask Bryan to sit in limbo forever, though. McMahon's going to have to make up his mind.
