Josh Kline, Patriots Agree to New Contract: Latest Details, Reaction
The Boston Globe's Ben Volin confirmed Tuesday the New England Patriots signed offensive guard Josh Kline to a two-year extension. ESPN.com's Field Yates first broke news of the deal, which will be worth at least $3.3 million and up to $4.9 million.
The Patriots signed Kline as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State in 2013, and since then, he has become one of New England's most consistent offensive linemen after establishing himself as a starter. As ESPN.com's Mike Reiss noted, the Pats have a history of helping develop otherwise unknown talents along the O-line:

Kline is also in the midst of his best season since entering the league. Nobody along the Patriots' O-line has received a higher grade than him (80.3) on Pro Football Focus through the team's first eight games.
Losing a player like Logan Mankins could've hit New England hard before 2014, but Kline has filled in well for the six-time Pro Bowler on the left side of the line. His transition to right guard in 2015 has also been seamless.
Still just 25 years old, Kline should only continue improving.
Locking up Kline for a few more years was a no-brainer for the Patriots, and they've done well to ensure a key piece of their offensive line won't be going anywhere this offseason.
