WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 2

Erik BeastonNov 3, 2015

For months, World Wrestling Entertainment management and broadcasters have repeatedly shoved the idea of a Divas Revolution down the throats of fans, smacking them in the face with the terminology despite doing very little to necessitate change other than expanding the female talents' television time.

That changed Monday night, at least for one night.

Monday Night RAW

In a Fatal 4-Way match to determine a No. 1 contender to Charlotte's Divas Championship, Becky Lynch, Brie Bella, Sasha Banks and Paige squared off in a fantastic match that saw all four women get the chance to showcase their skills and abilities for the better part of 13 minutes.

Paige emerged victorious, earning herself a championship bout against the second-generation titleholder at Survivor Series, but by the end of the match, all four Divas had emerged a true winners.

Raw was dedicated to setting up the top matches for the Survivor Series card, as well as telling the story of the show's rich history and prestige, and as such, it succeeded tremendously.

Who else joined the WWE Divas as the night's biggest winners, and which unfortunate Superstars found themselves stranded on the loser's side of things?

Winners: The Lucha Dragons

Sin Cara and Kalisto made the jump from NXT to the main roster earlier this year and almost instantly found themselves wallowing away in the lower half of the roster, working The Ascension on a weekly basis on D-level shows such as Superstars and Main Event.

On the October 29 episode of SmackDown, though, they began a sudden and unexpected push that came from out of nowhere and continued into Raw with a clean victory over Sheamus and King Barrett.

Their victory was even more impressive when one considers the fact that Sheamus is the current Money in the Bank contract holder and King Barrett is the 2015 King of the Ring. They are on equal footing as two of the most prominent midcard stars on the roster, so for Kalisto and Sin Cara to defeat them without any chicanery is a huge boost for the team.

The return of the Usos muddies the waters as far as the tag team division goes, but at this moment, it is difficult to suggest the twin brothers are in better position for a run at New Day than the Dragons, especially given the special video package that aired prior to their bout.

Loser: Alberto Del Rio

Remember when so much was made of Alberto Del Rio's shocking return to WWE last week when he defeated John Cena at Hell in a Cell for the United States Championships and competed in the Fatal 4-Way main event on Raw?

This week, he was smacked back to reality, dropped into the midcard to work R-Truth while simultaneously teasing a program with Jack Swagger that should have been touched on right out of the proverbial gate last week.

It is ridiculous to think that Del Rio could ever continue carrying the U.S. title at the level that Cena had for so long, especially in the high-profile position that he did, but no one could have expected that he would be dropped down the card as quickly as he has been.

Could this be panic setting in on behalf of this writer? Possibly, but the moment Del Rio begins sharing the ring with guys perceived to be as far down the ladder as Swagger and Truth are, it naturally draws questions about where the current United States champion will fit in the grand scheme of things.

Did he come back to accomplish bigger and better things or slide right back into the spot he had when he left last year?

Winner: Jack Swagger

As big a loser as Del Rio was for sharing the screen with Jack Swagger in a backstage pre-tape, the Real American earns winner status for this week's show, thanks to his return to relevancy after months of sitting around doing nothing.

Swagger is a talented worker who has had many opportunities in the past to become a much bigger star than he is. While that was not necessarily in the cards for him, he can still contribute to the product, especially in a feud that just makes perfect sense.

After being abandoned by Zeb Colter, who aligned himself with Swagger's longtime rival Del Rio, the All-American American should be interested in finding out what the deal between his former manager and the United States champion really is, and that appears to be the direction the story is heading.

Swagger deserves a spot on the show, and the role of first major challenger to Del Rio's title is the perfect one for him. It will now be up to him to remind fans and management why he was once considered the brightest young star on the roster.

Losers: The Usos

When Jimmy and Jey Uso returned to Raw Monday night, partnering with Roman Reigns, Ryback and Dean Ambrose in the night's main event, most expected the team to make a major impact. Instead, they eliminated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, then were unceremoniously sent packing by Kevin Owens and Big E respectively.

It was questionable use of the most popular tag team in WWE, especially in their first night back. Perhaps a brawl with Kingston and Woods that saw all four men counted out would have been much better use of the duo than beating them clean on their first night back.

On a night when the Lucha Dragons scored a big, clean victory over two guys in Barrett and Sheamus who are perceived to be at a certain level in the company, it was interesting to see Jimmy and Jey essentially treated like an afterthought in what was their first match together since WrestleMania.
