WWE Superstar Power Rankings for 11/2/2015
With Hell in a Cell 2015 now firmly in the rearview mirror, WWE now begins its drive toward Survivor Series 2015. After this past week, the card for that event is coming into view, and the WWE Superstar Power Rankings are in a state of flux.
To begin with, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose's rankings have been separated. Or more accurately, Dean Ambrose's ranking was spun off Reigns' ranking. With Roman Reigns now pretty much on his own again, it makes little sense to rank them together anymore.
There were also two notable absences this week. Brock Lesnar did not appear following his win over The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. Also, John Cena did not appear, either. This is unusual, as Cena is usually ready to roll following a tough loss.
Finally, just in time for Halloween, The Wyatt Family finally seems to be gaining power in WWE. With the full contingent healthy, Bray Wyatt has the tools at his disposal to dominate the WWE roster—if he chooses, that is.
We'll get into this past week's events more thoroughly throughout the following slides. But beforehand, please read how these rankings are determined.
These rankings are not a popularity contest and are not designed to determine who has the best matches or the most ability. These rankings are strictly in-storyline power rankings.
All active Superstars and Divas on the WWE roster are considered, excluding talents who primarily or exclusively perform in NXT. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis, but any NXT Superstar deemed eligible for these rankings will remain on the Watch List until officially named a part of the WWE main roster.
Holding a championship, being a No. 1 contender or holding a Money in the Bank briefcase counts for much of a wrestler's ranking, and these honors are therefore the most heavily weighed components.
If a wrestler is deemed to be tied with another, holding a title will be the primary tiebreaker. However, holding a championship, being a No. 1 contender or holding the Money in the Bank briefcase in no way guarantees a spot in the top 10.
Wins and losses account for the bulk of the week-to-week movement and, after championships, are the most important components of the rankings. The quality and rank of a wrestler's opponents are considered in the week-to-week movement.
Getting the better of someone—such as beating someone down—also counts, though not nearly as much as wins and losses. Being over with the fans (i.e., getting a strong reaction) is not heavily weighed in the ranking decisions; it is effectively the last tiebreaker. Pay-per-view wins and losses take on added importance.
Only the top 10 wrestlers are ranked. Wrestlers on the Watch List were considered for top-10 status but were ultimately nixed. They are unranked, and their listing is in no particular order.
Generally speaking, these rankings do not break kayfabe. However, any major non-storyline information—serious injury, WWE Wellness Policy violations, suspensions, legitimate hirings, firings, contract information and "sabbaticals"—may be taken into consideration, but only if WWE confirms or addresses it publicly.
WWE's non-televised domestic and international live events are not included in these rankings unless WWE incorporates them into television storylines or acknowledges them on WWE television. Also, nothing that could be explicitly considered a spoiler is included unless WWE acknowledges it as well.
In short, all WWE main-roster shows—televised or digitally distributed—as well as anything from WWE.com, the WWE App, the WWE Network and any WWE or Superstar accounts on social media that don't break kayfabe may be taken into consideration.
These may include but are not limited to WWE Raw, WWE SmackDown, WWE Main Event, WWE Superstars, NXT, WWE pay-per-views and any storyline-driven content from the WWE Network.
Watch List
1 of 11Charlotte
Divas champion Charlotte had a tough week. Team PCB is now officially done, as after losing to Team Bella, Paige attacked Becky Lynch and Charlotte on Raw. Then on Main Event, Becky Lynch lost to Brie Bella with Charlotte looking on. Charlotte needs to get on a roll, and fast.
Lucha Dragons
The Lucha Dragons got a major win on SmackDown, defeating The Dudley Boyz, The Ascension and the team of Sheamus and King Barrett in the same match. With that win, The Lucha Dragons could find themselves in line for a title opportunity sooner rather than later.
King Barrett
King Barrett has been teaming with Sheamus and Rusev lately, and when he does, his team has been winning consistently. His team defeated The Dudley Boyz and Ryback on Raw; the latter win gets him into ranking consideration. Can he keep building momentum?
Ryback
What a fall for Ryback. Not long ago, he was a staple in the top five of the rankings. But that's all ancient history now. He lost in a Six-Man Tag Team match on Raw, and again on SmackDown. He needs to get back on track quickly if he hopes to get back into the top 10.
Dean Ambrose
Dean Ambrose's ranking was greatly buoyed by his affiliation with Roman Reigns. But that affiliation has weakened in recent weeks, with the two appearing less a team than allies. Ambrose lost in a Six-Man Tag team match on SmackDown and looks to be out of the main title picture for now. Can Ambrose establish himself as a serious threat in WWE?
10. Dolph Ziggler
2 of 11Previous Rank: Unranked
Movement: Into Top 10
Dolph Ziggler has had an interesting run lately. His battle with Rusev ended abruptly, as the strange romantic situation blew up the rivalry. But emerging from the ashes of that unfortunate series of events, Ziggler is newly invigorated.
On Raw, he defeated Big E in a match to see who would compete later that night to become the No. 1 contender. He won the qualifying match but was unsuccessful later that evening. Still, Ziggler has shown he's capable of competing with the best.
Then on SmackDown, he faced and defeated The Miz in a Trick or Treat Street Fight. He won. Afterward, though, he was attacked by new rival Tyler Breeze. Can Ziggler fend off the young upstart?
9. The Wyatt Family
3 of 11Previous Rank: Watch List
Movement: Into Top 10
The Wyatt Family may be as strong as they have ever been right now. Bray Wyatt and his monstrous family members now claim to own the souls of both Kane and The Undertaker following their beatdown of Kane on Raw. And on SmackDown, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman defeated Dean Ambrose, Ryback, and Cesaro (with some outside interference by Wyatt).
The question now is: What does Bray Wyatt have in store for WWE, now that he has fed on the souls of The Brother of Destruction? Will he unleash that power in pursuit of a championship?
8. The New Day
4 of 11Previous Rank: 7
Movement: Down 1
It was a rough week for reigning WWE Tag Team champions The New Day. Already down a man (Xavier Woods), Big E and Kofi Kingston had individual matches on Raw, and if they had won they would have competed for the No. 1 contendership to the WWE World Heavyweight championship. Big E faced Dolph Ziggler, and Kofi Kingston faced Roman Reigns. Both men lost.
For now, they don't have an established rival. But that may be changing. The Lucha Dragons may have set themselves up for a shot. Or familiar foes like The Dudley Boyz may find their way back into title contention.
Can The New Day keep its momentum up without Xavier Woods?
7. Brock Lesnar
5 of 11
Previous Rank: 5
Movement: Down 2
Brock Lesnar did not appear this week. Coming off a brutal Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker, the physicality of the match may explain his absence. But considering how personal his rivalry with The Deadman had become, you'd think he and Paul Heyman would have some words for 'Taker.
With his rivalry with Undertaker in the past, what does Lesnar have in store for the future? Will he seek another title shot? Or will he find himself looking for an opponent in the coming months?
6. John Cena
6 of 11
Previous Rank: 4
Movement: Down 2
Like Brock Lesnar, John Cena did not appear this week. Cena usually wants his title rematch as soon as possible, but there wasn't a peep from the usually outspoken leader of the Cenation.
In his match with Alberto Del Rio, he didn't seem himself. He looked like he might be injured, but there's been no news from WWE about his status as yet.
5. Sheamus
7 of 11Previous Rank: 8
Movement: Up 3
Mr. Money in the Bank has been collecting wins as part of a three-man team made up of himself, Rusev and King Barrett. On Raw, the team defeated The Dudley Boyz and Ryback. That was his only match of the week.
Still holding the Money in the Bank contract, Sheamus is a threat to Seth Rollins at any time. When will Sheamus take his next opportunity?
4. Alberto Del Rio
8 of 11Previous Rank: 6
Movement: Up 2
Alberto Del Rio had a pretty darn good first week back in WWE. After winning the WWE United States championship at Hell in a Cell, he followed that win with a victory over Neville on Raw that earned him a spot in the Fatal 4-Way match to determine a new No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. He didn't win the match but showed he's a top Superstar. On SmackDown, he faced and defeated R-Truth.
Del Rio has formed a new alliance with Zeb Colter called "Mexamerica." It's definitely an oddball pairing, but thus far it has been successful.
Can Del Rio keep winning? And is Zeb Colter looking to build a stable of Superstars around Del Rio?
3. Kevin Owens
9 of 11Previous Rank: 2
Movement: Down 1
It was a tough week for WWE intercontinental champion Kevin Owens. On Raw, he defeated Cesaro to get himself into the Fatal 4-Way to decide the No. 1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. In that match, he was pinned by Roman Reigns.
On SmackDown, he and Reigns squared off, but Owens walked out on the match and lost via count-out. In all, a good start led to two disappointing losses.
With Ryback done as his challenger, who will step up to challenge Owens for his title?
2. Roman Reigns
10 of 11Previous Rank: 3 (with Dean Ambrose)
Movement: Up 1
As a reminder from the opening slide, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose now have separate rankings, with Reigns inheriting the ranking of their partnership.
Roman Reigns had a very good week, perhaps among the best weeks of his career. On Raw, he defeated Kofi Kingston to earn a spot in the WWE World Heavyweight championship's No. 1 contender Fatal 4-Way. He would go on to win that match, pinning Kevin Owens for the win.
On SmackDown, he faced Owens one-on-one and defeated him when Owens walked out of the match and got himself counted out. That gave him three big wins over current champions in a single week and vaulted him into the No. 2 spot.
Reigns now is poised to face WWE world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins at Survivor Series later this month. It will be his second chance to win the title this year. Can he capitalize?
1. Seth Rollins
11 of 11Previous Rank: 1
Movement: None
WWE world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins didn't compete this week and had to watch as his former Shield teammate Roman Reigns won the right to challenge him for his title at Survivor Series. Rollins pinned Reigns at WrestleMania this year to win the title, and Rollins has held the championship ever since.
There's no doubt that Reigns wants revenge for that, and the personal nature of the rivalry could cause concern for Rollins. In addition, Reigns is a lot more polished since WrestleMania.
Can Rollins put the personal stuff aside and successfully battle his former ally?
