Edin Dzeko, Mohamed Salah to Roma: Latest Transfer Details, Comments, Reaction
Roma have confirmed the permanent signings of Edin Dzeko from Manchester City and Mohamed Salah from Chelsea after the pair originally joined the Serie A giants on loan.
The Italian capital-city club revealed the captures in a financial statement, as cited by Sacha Pisani of Goal.com, which also confirmed the signing of Spanish star Iago Falque: "These players were first signed on a temporary basis, which has been transformed into definitive transfers after planned contractual conditions were met."
Dzeko will be the club's primary striker after netting a total of 20 goals in his past two years in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.com, despite being consigned to the bench for long periods at the Etihad.

Salah is in his second season of life in Italy, featuring for Fiorentina last term after Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho allowed the player to find first-team football away from Stamford Bridge.
The Egyptian midfielder has taken well to his new surroundings at the Olympic Stadium, scoring three goals in his first six league matches for La Maggica, per WhoScored.
Dzeko wants to repeat his English league title-winning success with City at the Roman superclub, commenting about his ambition after his move to Italy in August, as reported by BBC Sport: "I came here to win titles with Roma. I can only promise one thing and that is that I will give my best for this club in every game."

BBC Sport said a permanent deal for the City striker would cost the Italians £10.8 million—a value signing for a player as dominant as the Bosnian.
Roma need to continue to build in order to wrest the title away from Juventus, and the captures of Dzeko and Salah will give coach Rudi Garcia the arsenal he needs to pick up wins during every round of Serie A.
Salah failed to impress in the blue shirt of Chelsea, but he is indeed a top prospect and is young enough to develop into one of Italy's most potent attacking midfielders.
