Robert Turbin Waived by Seahawks: Latest Comments and Reaction
According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, the Seattle Seahawks waived running back Robert Turbin on Wednesday.
Turbin is currently recovering from a high-ankle sprain that he picked up toward the beginning of September, according to Gregg Bell of the News Tribune. Per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Turbin could be ready to play in five weeks, as the Seahawks were able to waive him with an injury designation.
The Seahawks were quick to address the backup situation, bringing in veteran Fred Jackson on Sept. 1, the same day head coach Pete Carroll announced Turbin was injured.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Seattle signed Jackson a few days later on Sept. 4, and he looks to become a productive backup option for Marshawn Lynch, making Turbin a bit more expendable.
For Turbin, he could receive plenty of interest from teams if his injury does not scare them away. His ability to catch out of the backfield, as well as to protect the quarterback, makes him a great option as a third-down back. He will just need to focus on his vision in terms of hitting holes if he wants to become a regular, consistent option in the NFL.
