Tottenham Transfer News: Latest on Erik Lamela and Saido Berahino Rumours
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Erik Lamela is reportedly set to join French outfit Marseille, who appear to have beaten Juventus to his signature.
That's according to Calciomercato (via Football Italia), who note the Argentinian's move to the Ligue 1 side will initially be on a loan deal.
The 23-year-old has struggled to make a positive impact or achieve any real consistency in north London, where he has tallied just six goals and 14 assists in 66 appearances.

However, the majority of those (five and 10, respectively) were last season, so the youngster is slowly showing improvement at White Hart Lane.
Nevertheless, it seems the winger is off to France, where he will look to perform more consistently in each match rather than in fits and starts.
There is clearly a talented player in Lamela, so the youngster needs to grab this opportunity with both hands to give his career a kick-start.
Spurs are also keen to bring in more recruits before the end of the window, and according to the Daily Telegraph's Jeremy Wilson, they are set to make late bids to land West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino and Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Football journalist Ben Fairthorne believes both players are hoping to join Spurs:
The Lilywhites are fairly limited in their options up front beyond Harry Kane, so Berahino's haul of 20 goals and six assists in all competitions last year makes him a strong candidate to help Tottenham's push for the top four.
Sky Sports' Lyall Thomas believes the 22-year-old would be a good acquisition:
However, as Fairthorne noted, West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has ruled out a move for the striker.
In a statement on the club's official website, he said: "I have informed Saido that he will not be transferred during this summer window and that he is staying at the club. As I have made clear from the moment Tottenham lodged their first bid for Saido on August 18, selling our top goalscorer was never on our agenda this summer."
With so little time left in the transfer window, the Baggies' stance is perfectly understandable.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is a wily operator in the transfer market, and though he's never been afraid to splash the cash, it seems unlikely he'd be willing to part with the kind of money required to change Peace's mind.
Berahino could well earn a move to a bigger club in the near future, but it seems like it won't be for another season at least.
