Barcelona Transfer News: Latest Quotes from Neymar, Luis Enrique Before Deadline
Barcelona star Neymar has sought to reassure fans that he's happy playing for the Catalan giants amid rumours of a sensational move to Manchester United.
According to the Evening Standard's Richard Parry, the Red Devils have been linked with a £240 million deal for the Brazilian, but he has allayed any fears the Blaugrana faithful might have had. Per Parry, Neymar told TV3:
"The people from Barca can be calm.
When I hear things like this, I don't think anything. I just heard it and I am calm. I am very happy at Barca and with my colleagues.
We can have a great season. I don't know if we can make as many goals but we are going to try to.
We want titles for our team.

Indeed, Bleacher Report columnist Guillem Balague believes the forward is set to receive a new deal from the club:
The news will come as a relief to Barca supporters, though ultimately a move away was always incredibly unlikely, even to a club of Manchester United's wealth and stature.
Barcelona-based journalist Rafael Hernandez explains why the club are determined to keep the 23-year-old at the Camp Nou:
Neymar sparkled last season as he racked up a stunning total of 39 goals and 11 assists in all competitions and helped his side win the prestigious treble of La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles.
After a campaign like that, the forward can rightly be considered Barca's second-biggest star.
Five years younger than Lionel Messi and seven years younger than Cristiano Ronaldo, the Brazilian will likely be regarded as the best in the world once they eventually begin to slow down.

Most importantly for Barcelona fans, it seems like he'll be at the Camp Nou for the majority, if not the remainder, of his career.
Another factor in Barca's reluctance to let Neymar go this summer in particular is their transfer ban, which prevents them from fielding any new recruits until January.
Bleacher Report's Rik Sharma and the Guardian's Sid Lowe believe the club will soon suffer the effects of the embargo:
However, that has not stopped them from acquiring the likes of Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal in order for them to feature in the latter half of the season.
Further, it seems manager Luis Enrique is still open to doing more business before the window closes, though he concedes the ban ensures there is no rush to bring in more players this summer.
According to Joe Short of the Express, Enriqu said: "We're still working on the market, seeing what can be done. There's no urgency for us to make signings because those players can't play until January. We're open to everything and alert to anything that might come up."
Though the Blaugrana may not use any new signings until midway through the season, it would still benefit them to bring in more recruits.

Particularly for clubs like Barcelona, despite their dominance in most matches, each season is a long and gruelling campaign on multiple fronts as they tend to compete in European and domestic cup competitions right to the end, not to mention their 38 league matches.
An injection of new faces in January will give the side a real boost, and if they are acquired now, then they will be fresh-legged and will have had plenty of time to bed in with the team in training.
The only difficulty will be convincing players to go without competitive football until the new year.
While the temptation of playing for Barca will be enough to persuade many players, those already at big clubs will be more reluctant.
Nevertheless, don't be surprised if one more player arrives at the Camp Nou this summer.
