Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Gareth Bale, Robert Lewandowski Rumours
Real Madrid forward and reported Manchester United transfer target Gareth Bale has reiterated his desire to be successful in the Spanish capital, saying it's “a dream” to have the chance to play for Los Blancos.
The Wales international took to Twitter to announce his first-ever interview in Spanish will be released shortly, and he gave fans a little preview, via ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan: "The fans are good with me, and it is a dream for me to play for Real Madrid."
Bale's statement that the fans are “good” with him may come as a big of a surprise, as the Real faithful have continued to doubt him going into the 2015-16 campaign. He's not exactly Mr. Popular at the moment, via AS:

The 26-year-old joined Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and enjoyed a fine first season in the Spanish capital, scoring 15 goals and adding 12 assists in 24 La Liga starts, via WhoScored.com.
His numbers dipped the following season, however, and with the Spanish giants struggling on the pitch and ending the season without any silverware, Bale became a scapegoat for the fans. That hasn't changed since the arrival of manager Rafa Benitez, who plans to use the Welshman in a more central role, per Corrigan:
"Bale was whistled during Madrid's final preseason game against Galatasaray at the Bernabeu, and again bore the brunt of fans' frustration after last weekend's 0-0 La Liga opening weekend draw at Sporting Gijon.
Following that game, fellow galacticos Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez were also said to be "uncomfortable" and "upset" with their less central roles in Benitez's plans.
"
As reported by Football Espana, Benitez has hit back at the media and the fans who constantly belittle Bale, and as of right now, he's unlikely to lose his spot in the starting XI.
Bale presents an easy target for the fans to voice their displeasure at, considering his massive transfer fee and the fact the club has several young options who look like potential stars but sit behind him in the pecking order. Benitez needs to be creative to find enough playing time for both Isco and James Rodriguez, as things would be different without Bale.
None of this matters, however, as Bale will be given every chance to prove himself to the Real faithful for at least one more season. The investment the club made to bring him to La Liga was too great to give up on him now, and he showed enough promise in his first season at the Bernabeu to validate the belief he can still be a massive success.
The upcoming campaign will be crucial for Bale and Los Blancos, and if the club ends up without any trophies again, and Bale has similar struggles, the situation could change completely. United remains the most likely destination should Bale leave Madrid, but it's just unlikely to happen in 2015.
Real Want Robert Lewandowski?

Speaking of Real Madrid and reported Manchester United transfer targets, Los Blancos are now said to be “considering a move” for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, according to Fichajes.net (h/t the Daily Express' Izzy Horsefield).
Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is reportedly keen on bringing the 27-year-old to the Spanish capital, although Horsefield acknowledges a deal is unlikely.
This particular rumour seems a bit shaky at best. Lewandowski is the starting striker for one of the world's best clubs and has been ever since he arrived at the Allianz Arena. The only reason he would ever leave such a situation would be to become the starter elsewhere, and Real already have a world-class option up front.
In case you had forgotten, Karim Benzema made it very clear he's not going anywhere, via Twitter:
The Poland international hasn't been regularly linked with a move away from Bavaria―unlike team-mate Thomas Muller, who seems to be linked with the Red Devils just about every day per SportBild (h/t Daily Express' James Dickenson).
Whether United are interested in signing Lewandowski or not, this transfer has very little chance of coming to fruition, especially this close to the end of the transfer window. Lewandowski is yet to give any indication he's unhappy with his current situation―chances are he's not and has no intention of leaving Die Rekordmeister.
