UK Back Pages: The Sun Continues to Push Neymar-to-Manchester United Link
No matter how far-fetched the Neymar-to-Manchester United story may seem, it's a rumour that isn't going away as the transfer window draws to a close.
The Sun's back page claims that the overall deal, once all costs are factored in, to bring the Brazilian to Old Trafford could be £240 million—and that United "won't flinch":

The suspicion that Neymar might be about to negotiate a new contract at Barcelona niggles away at these reports, and United fans have already been stung a few times in recent weeks as big names have been linked but haven't ended up at the club:
"Neymar will renew his contract with Barcelona. But before he signs it, more stories will come out to put pressure to FCB. It is an old game

It's hard to see how this rumour is any different, but Manchester United have just enough money and inclination to pull off a megadeal before the window shuts—who knows what might go down by the September 1 deadline?
Elsewhere, the Daily Star has a line that Sunderland's manager Dick Advocaat is ready to quit his job after a frustrating summer in the transfer market:

The broadsheets, meanwhile, look at the Monday night game between Arsenal and Liverpool, with Petr Cech's remarkable saves and Aaron Ramsey's controversially disallowed goal the key angles:

In the Daily Mail, meanwhile, the focus is on the words of pundit Gary Neville, who slaughtered Arsene Wenger's decision-making over recent years in the pre-match analysis on Sky Sports:

Just another day of big money, controversy and name-calling in the self-appointed greatest league in the world.
