Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Targets, Deals Considered in Blues Rumours
The rumours linking Chelsea with a move for Juventus star Paul Pogba just won't go away, with the Sun's Dan King being the latest to suggest the Blues have agreed to a deal for the France international.
According to King, Chelsea will pay the Bianconeri £69 million for Pogba's services, calling it an offer the Italian champions “could not refuse.” He also mentioned Oscar Willian and Juan Cuadrado as players who could be joining the Italians in the deal.
Exactly how those players figure into the deal wasn't made clear, but Italian reports suggested the deal will not come to pass, per Gianluca Di Marzio translator David Amoyal:

The rumours linking Pogba with a move to Stamford Bridge were predictable following the Blues' poor start to the 2015-16 campaign. While Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal all spent during the summer in order to close the gap at the top of the Premier League hierarchy, Chelsea waited until after the 3-0 loss at the Etihad to sign their first star player in Pedro.
Fans have gotten used to Roman Abramovich splashing the cash when it's needed, and from that perspective, Pogba seems like a logical move. The 22-year-old is wildly talented and projects as a future Ballon d'Or winner, so he would be both an instant contributor and long-term investment.
Any deal for Pogba in 2015 remains highly unlikely, however. Juventus have already parted ways with two star midfielders in Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, and with new arrival Sami Khedira sidelined (leg) to start the campaign, the Bianconeri can't afford to lose another key starter.
As reported by the Press Association (via the Guardian), the France international agreed to an improved contract just last year, and he recently changed his kit to No. 10, a number that a ton of Juventus legends have worn before him, including Michel Platini, Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Baggio.
From Juventus' perspective, it makes no sense to sell Pogba this summer, regardless of the fee. As one of the world's top young players, his value will remain just as high going into the 2016-17 season, and Europe's elite will once again make those same astronomical bids. La Liga blogger Sergi Dominguez agreed that the odds of his leaving are minuscule:
On top of that, Pogba has yet to give any indication he's interested in leaving Turin, and with UEFA Euro 2016 around the corner, it makes more sense for him to remain in an environment he knows in preparation for the tournament.
The day Pogba decides it's time to leave Turin, Chelsea will undoubtedly be among the favourites to land his signature―along with just about every other top club in Europe. But barring a huge falling out between the player and his club, there is no way Pogba is leaving Juventus this summer.
Whether the offer is £69 million or £100 million, don't expect Juventus to agree to any deal between now and the end of the transfer window―period.
Godfred Donsah Moves to Bologna

Young starlet Godfred Donsah has reportedly agreed to a deal with Bologna, according to Amoyal, joining the club on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent from Cagliari.
As reported by the Daily Star (h/t Metro's Louis Sealey), the Blues were believed to be interested in the 19-year-old Ghanaian, who is one of the top talents to emerge from the country in years.
Donsah is frequently compared to compatriot Michael Essien for his athleticism and physicality, and while he has a lot of developing to do, he has the potential to be a special player. He'll likely be an immediate starter for Serie A newcomers Bologna.
Chelsea are in the habit of signing young, talented players they can develop on loan, and it's easy to see why the club would have been interested in Donsah, who had his breakout season last year.
The youngster made 13 starts in Serie A last season, per WhoScored.com, and while his consistency was sometimes lacking, he did enough to get Juventus involved in the move to Bologna. According to Amoyal, the Bianconeri will have an option to bring him to Turin next season.
Given Juventus' tremendous depth in midfield―along with Pogba and Khedira, the likes of Kwadwo Asamoah, Roberto Pereyra and Stefano Sturaro will also wear the iconic kit this season―it speaks to his potential that Juventus are already making moves to ensure they have the opportunity to bring him to Turin.
