Chris Hogan Injury: Updates on Bills WR's Knee, Ankle and Return
Chris Hogan left the Buffalo Bills' Aug. 20 preseason contest against the Cleveland Browns with an ankle injury, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.
Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported Hogan suffered a knee sprain that would keep him out two to four weeks in addition to the more minor ankle injury. Hogan was able to get healthy and was declared active for the regular-season opener against the Colts.
The Bills were "cautiously optimistic" Hogan would return for Week 1 against the Colts, according to Rex Ryan on Aug. 22, via Rodak.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Matthew Bove of WKBW in Buffalo provided a visual of the scene of the injury on Aug. 20:
Hogan tallied a career-high 426 receiving yards and four touchdowns last season, and the hope in Buffalo was he would fully turn the corner as a key contributor entering his third year in 2015.
Percy Harvin, Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods are all proven playmakers who give the Bills a number of options in the passing game. Marquise Goodwin also serves as a speed threat and someone who can beat the defense over the top.
Elsewhere, LeSean McCoy is one of the most explosive running backs in the league, and the Bills have a strong defense on paper that should keep them in games all year.
Hogan is expected to be a solid contributor and a source of depth behind the playmakers, and with him active for Week 1, the Bills should have plenty of pieces at their disposal this season.
