Karlos Williams Injury: Updates on Bills RB's Status and Return
Karlos Williams was trying to carve a niche for himself in Buffalo's offense this preseason, but the rookie running back had to be hospitalized the morning of Aug. 17, per Mike Rodak of ESPN.com.
Rodak later reported Williams would be out two weeks after having a "sensitive" procedure. However, he is listed as active for the regular-season opener against the Colts.
Head coach Rex Ryan noted Williams "was in a lot of pain" when he woke up that Monday morning, per Rodak, though the nature of Williams' ailment wasn't revealed.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Williams came into Bills camp in a battle to make a name for himself amid a stacked group of running backs, including LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson (who was released), Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown (who is inactive for Week 1) on the roster. He played well in the team's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, rushing for 40 yards and catching two passes for 23 more yards with Jackson and Dixon sidelined due to injury.
"You've just got to take advantage of it," Williams said of his extended playing time in August, per Taylor Frank of BuffaloBills.com. "I'm just trying to carry the load and do what I have to do to make sure I make this roster."
