BMW Championship Leaderboard 2026 Review of Top Scorecards and Player Stats on Day 2
Wyndham Clark's second consecutive 64 placed him into the solo 36-hole lead at the BMW Championship.
Clark owns a one-shot lead over Gary Woodland and a two-shot edge over J.J. Spaun going into the weekend.
Eight other golfers are within three to five strokes of Clark with two rounds left at Bellerive Country Club.
Among the top 11 on the leaderboard are four golfers, including Woodland, who have moved inside the top 30 in the projected FedEx Cup standings.

Wyndham Clark Holds Solo 36-Hole Lead
1 of 3
Wyndham Clark used his second 64 of the tournament to move into the solo lead.
Clark was remarkably consistent with his putter during the second round, as he rolled in six birdies and 12 pars.
Three of the birdies occurred on the front nine and other three came on the back nine.
Clark's final birdie, on the 17th hole, allowed him to move in front of Woodland for first place.
Clark won't play with the pressure of trying to advance to the Tour Championship over the weekend, like a few others on the first page of the leaderboard, so we should expect the same level of consistency from him on Saturday and Sunday.
Gary Woodland Among Golfers In Good Shape To Qualify For Tour Championship
2 of 3
Woodland and three other golfers currently moved into the top 30 in the projected FedEx Cup standings.
Woodland, one of the six first round co-leaders, is currently projected to move up from 31st to 17th in the FedEx Cup standings.
Woodland shot a five-under 65 to stay in contention with Clark for the win. A top-five finish should be good enough for him to advance to next week because he was the first golfer outside the top 30 cut line.
Sungjae Im currently gained 12 spots up to 28th, Patrick Cantlay moved from 43rd to 31st and Michael Thorbjornsen is up to 30th from 41st after 36 holes.
A lot can change in two additional rounds, but for now, those are the four golfers to keep the closest eyes on in regards to the FedEx Cup standings.
Scottie Scheffler Bounces Back From Tough Opening Round
3 of 3
Scottie Scheffler produced one of the best rounds on course Friday.
The FedEx Cup standings leader shot a five-under 65, a seven-shot improvement from his opening round.
Scheffler's putter came alive on the back nine, where he birdied five of the nine holes. He had a pair of back-to-back holes with birdies during that stretch.
Scheffler's front nine wasn't as great. He had a pair of bogeys, a pair of birdies and five pars.
The back nine performance placed Scheffler at three-under for the tournament in a tie for 25th.
He probably won't win back-to-back tournaments, but two good rounds over the weekend will position him nicely to win next week's Tour Championship.
