Suni Lee Announces Gymnastics Return in Social Media Video Ahead of 2028 Olympics, 'I'm Back'
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Sunisa Lee could be making a push for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
The 23-year-old announced she is "back in the gym" in a video posted Tuesday on her Instagram.
"I know what I'm capable of," Lee said in the video. "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get there."

The video concluded with the message: "This is more than a comeback, stay tuned."
Lee, 23, competed for Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2024 Paris Games.
After winning all-around gold and uneven bars bronze while helping the women's team claim silver in Tokyo in 2021, Lee announced in April 2023 she was stepping away from college gymnastics at Auburn due to a health issue with her kidneys.
Lee made a successful comeback ahead of the Paris Olympics, where she won bronze in the all-around and uneven bars while helping the United States win team gold.
She told Olympics.com's Scott Bregman in July 2025 her "body feels great" amid her break from competition.
The announcement of Lee's return comes shortly three months after fellow two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey announced she would be returning to competition ahead of the 2028 Olympics.
The next Summer Olympics are set to open July 14, 2028 and run through July 30, 2028 in Los Angeles.
