WWE's Triple H Reacts to Danhausen Uncursing Knicks in New Video with Stephen A. Smith
WWE head of creative Triple H gave his thoughts Thursday on the New York Knicks winning the 2026 NBA championship following WWE Superstar Danhausen's viral "uncursing" of the franchise.
Appearing on ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith's YouTube show (beginning at the 1:08 mark), Triple H discussed the phenomenon that saw the Knicks win their first title since 1973:

"These curse things, it's funny, a lot of people think they're silly," Triple H said. "But when they prove themselves out right in front of you, it's hard to think they're so silly.
"Look, I like to think we know a thing or two about writing great comeback stories and the underdog story and all those things. What an incredible run, what an incredible story of a team that just would not stay down. That just went on the most incredible run and against all odds when they were outgunned, outmanned, out-everything, just put it to them. You can say the curse, you can say whatever you want to say. You can say it's one of the strongest fanbases on the planet as you saw, but the Knicks did it, man, and it was an incredible run."
Danhausen became an honorary part of the Knicks historic playoff run due to his appearances on ESPN that saw him both curse and uncurse the team.
He initially cursed the Knicks to spite Smith, who is a Knicks fan, claiming that Smith was being rude to him.
New York fell behind 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in its first-round playoff series shortly thereafter, prompting a Knicks fan to pay for a Cameo of Danhausen "uncursing" the Knicks.
Danhausen obliged, and from that point forward, the Knicks were nearly unbeatable.
After the uncursing, the Knicks won 15 of their next 16 games, with their only loss being in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
New York won the next two games to close out the series, though, ending one of the NBA's longest championship droughts in the process.
Although Knicks stars Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, Mikal Bridges and Josh Hart deserve most of the credit, Danhausen will always be synonymous with the team's championship run.
