X Games 2026 Dates, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Athletes, Event Info for Sacramento

Michelle BrutonJun 25, 2026

A new chapter in action sports begins this week as X Games launches its new X Games League (XGL) at X Games Sacramento 2026. Taking place from June 26–28 at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California, the event will feature nearly 100 of the world's top skateboard, BMX and Moto X athletes competing across 18 medal events.

But this time around, the Sacramento event isn't a standalone event on the X Games calendar. It serves as the official debut of XGL, a year-round, team-based competition format. Athletes representing clubs from Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo and Tokyo will compete for individual medals as well as team points in the league's first of three summer events.

Following X Games Sacramento, the summer season will include stops in Chiba, Japan, in early July and the championship in New Orleans later that month, where the highest-scoring XGL Club will be crowned the inaugural league champion.

With live coverage available across multiple broadcast and streaming platforms, here's everything you need to know to tune in to X Games Sacramento 2026.

EXTREME: JUL 21 X Games California 2023

From established champions and Olympians to rising stars, the biggest names in skateboarding, BMX and Moto X will compete at X Games Sacramento.

Skateboarders to watch include15-time X Games gold medalist and Olympic bronze medalist Nyjah Huston, rapidly emerging women's street star Chloe Covell and eight-time X Games gold medalist and Olympic gold medalist Arisa Trew.

At just 16, Trew is only two gold medals away from snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis' record for most women's gold at X Games. Considering Trew has taken double gold in park and vert at three separate X Games events, it's a good bet she'll reach that record in Sacramento.

Names to watch in BMX include Australian Ryan Williams ("R-Willy"), who has built a reputation for pushing the limits of what is possible in action sports, earning 11 X Games gold medals in the process. Versatile rider and eight-time X Games gold medalist Kevin Peraza is equally at home in the dirt, street and park disciplines.

Though they are used to competing individually, with the launch of XGL, these athletes will experience what it's like to be part of a larger whole as they earn points for their respective teams.
