Real Madrid Transfer News: Rafa Benitez Hints at Signings, Karim Benzema Rumours
Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez has hinted that Los Blancos could make some more additions to their squad before the transfer window closes at the end of August.
The La Liga giants have been relatively quiet so far this summer, with no major additions being made.
The signing of right-back Danilo was an astute move, but Kiko Casilla's addition as the No. 2 goalkeeper was hardly inspiring, per Bleacher Report's Andy Brassell:

There have certainly been no Galactico additions for Madrid fans to celebrate, unlike the summers of 2014 and 2013, when they brought in James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale, respectively.
However, there could yet be more signings forthcoming, as Benitez recently admitted Real always keep their eyes open for potential additions, per Spanish outlet Marca: "For a club like Real Madrid, the window is open until [31 August]."
Indeed, the most widely touted move surrounding Real—and perhaps the whole transfer window—that has yet to come off is David De Gea's mooted switch to the Bernabeu from Manchester United.

The negotiations and rumours have been dragging on all summer, and the Red Devils are reportedly still holding out for as much money as possible, per the Mail on Sunday's Rob Draper and Chris Wheeler.
Real will surely succeed in signing him up eventually, even if it comes at the very end of the window, as he could be the addition Madrid need to win a La Liga title this season.
Benitez could also be set to let a few of his squad members go. Rumours continue to circulate concerning striker Karim Benzema and a potential move to Arsenal.
The latest reports suggest that the Gunners are planning to launch a bid for the Frenchman this week after a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United laid bare their weak attacking unit, per Sam Cunningham in the Daily Mail.
MailOnline's Sami Mokbel recently reported that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had been given the go-ahead to break the £42.5 million club-record transfer fee paid for Mesut Ozil in order to seal the signing of Benzema.
However, it would be an odd move for Real to let the 27-year-old forward go, as he is a vital goalscorer for the club and a brilliant creator for Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale. He netted 15 times and provided 10 assists in La Liga last term, per WhoScored.com.
Real may be tempted if Arsenal do come in with a mammoth offer, but Benzema's value to Los Blancos should not be underestimated, and he will not be let go cheaply.
