Watch David Benavidez Call Out Canelo & Bivol After Zurdo TKO on Video, 'Nobody Can F--k with Me'

Joseph ZuckerMay 3, 2026

David Benavidez is ready to take on all challengers after his sixth-round TKO victory over Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramรญrez on Saturday night.

"My combination, my punch selection is unlike anything else," he said after the fight, per ESPN's Andreas Hale. "Whoever it is, man, I don't care who it is: Nobody can f--k with me."

Benavidez reignited hope of what would be a highly anticipated bout with Canelo รlvarez. He also said that Dmitry Bivol is "No. 1 on my hit list."

The newly crowned WBA and WBO cruiserweight champion dominated the proceedings against Ramรญrez. He connected on more than twice as many power punches (137) as Zurdo (64).

As the first round drew to a close, Benavidez peppered Ramรญrez with a flurry of shots. That set the tone for what would unfold.

Another brutal combo sent Zurdo to one knee in the sixth round, and the referee called for the bell with one second left.

A spokesperson for Golden Boy Promotions confirmed to Hale that Ramรญrez had a swollen right eye but didn't show any head/facial injuries beyond that. They added that Zurdo is "in good spirits."

Benavidez firmly cemented his reputation as one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world with such an emphatic showing. That much isn't in doubt. What's uncertain is who's next for the 29-year-old.

A superfight with Canelo has floated around for years. That fact will lead fans to be skeptical about it ever coming together. The two stars are in far different weight classes now, too, with รlvarez competing at the super middleweight level.

Bivol is a more realistic pathway. The 35-year-old is scheduled to fight Michael Eifert on May 30, his first time in the ring in over a year.

Assuming Bivol makes easy work of Eifert, he'll presumably have his sights on a tougher test.
