Tyson Fury vs. Makhmudov Odds, Live Stream and KO, Judges' Scorecards Predictions

Tyson Fury is back from another retirement.

The Gypsy King has announced the end of his boxing carer on more than one occasion, but can't seem to give up the sweet science. He'll once again put his skills to the test in the ring.

This time, he'll meet Arslanbek Makhmudov to shake off the rust and prove he's still in the heavyweight elite.

There are no titles on the line, but Fury stands to set himself up with another megafight if he can showcase his skills in this tuneup.

Makhmudov has built some momentum with wins over David Allen and Ricardo Brown. Here's all the info you need to catch The 37-year-old's return as well as a preview and prediction for the bout.

Oleksandr Usyk v Tyson Fury - "Riyadh Season" boxing match event
Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk

Let's be clear. This is a tuneup fight for Fury.

Makhmudov has earned this shot. He has 19 knockouts in 23 fights and his impressive unanimous decision win over David Allen. The 36-year-old is ranked fifth among heavyweights by the WBA, but isn't ranked in the top 10 by any other governing body.

Of course, Makhmudov is saying that he will win, but even he admits that he doesn't know how that is going to happen.

"I don't know how I will beat [Fury], but of course I believe I will win," he told media. "This guy, he is a legend, one of the best heavyweights in history."

He's right about Fury. He has already cemented his legacy as one of the all-time greats in the division's history. His reputation is not on the line in this fight. His ability to still contend for a title, however, is.

Fury announced his retirement after back-to-back losses to Oleksandr Usyk. There's certainly no shame in losing to the champion. However, a competitive fight against Makhmudov would not build momentum toward another crack at the title.

Makhmudov does have power. However, there's not a lot of nuance to his game. He's a straightforward power puncher who has won fights where his opponent doesn't know how to deal with that.

That's not Fury. He's made his career from combining his size and power with exceptional movement and defense for a heavyweight.

Ultimately, it's Fury's adaptability and defensive acumen that should carry him in this fight. A frustrated Makhmudov is more likely to make mistakes as the fight wears on and Fury should capitalize with a late-fight knockout.
