Twitter Reacts to Pedro's Reported Move to Manchester United
Times they are a-changin' at Manchester United. Angel Di Maria's time in the North West looks to have reached its conclusion, with the Argentinean set to pull on a Paris Saint-Germain shirt imminently, per the Guardian.
The Red Devils, however, have wasted no time in scouting a replacement. According to Simon Jones of the Daily Mail and numerous other sources, Pedro Rodriguez will be getting off the bench at the Camp Nou to take a starring role at Old Trafford:

The consensus is that Pedro will be a Premier League player very shortly, although Barcelona have decided to give the 28-year-old a first XI squad number. Of course, this might be a similar misnomer to Real Madrid giving Keylor Navas the No. 1 shirt:
Many pundits and journalists have declared a move for Pedro to be a positive one:
A large portion of Manchester United's fanbase also appears enthused by the Spaniard's arrival:
Naturally, many took Pedro's potential signing as an opportunity to throw shade on his outgoing counterpart:
"I always thought Di Maria was too weak for the BPL. I get a different feeling about Pedro, but I could be wrong! #pedro

"An inspired, hardworking Pedro is definitely an upgrade from the lazy Di Maria who didn't fight for his place that we saw last year.
— Kenneth (@Schpectacular) August 5, 2015"
However, there are plenty of Twitter users out there who feel that the Red Devils might have been better off keeping the man they signed from Real Madrid last summer:
Many also felt the need to air their doubts concerning Pedro's pedigree:
"Pedro is so overrated, I swear.

"Pedro better than Di Maria? No chance. Not overly concerned by Pedro signing. Ibe > Di Maria > Pedro #LFC #MUFC
— Brodinho (@Brodinho) August 5, 2015"
Whether Pedro becomes a Premier League player or not, it has been made clear he may only join after being made available for Barcelona's Spanish Super Cup ties with Athletic Club, which will take place August 14 and 17. This has not inspired optimism:
Nothing like a bit of British football fan pessimism to herald the arrival of a new source of goals!
