Ings Available for Lithuania Clash
Monday, Oct. 12
"Ings completed the entire training session here in Vilnius ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania," reported Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, who added:
"The Reds forward is likely to be named on the bench by Roy Hodgson, as the England manager looks to make it 10 wins out of 10 during qualification for next summer's European Championships."
In-Form Liverpool Man Facing Fight to Impress Klopp
Ings has enjoyed a promising start to his first season with the Reds, bagging three goals for the Anfield club in Premier League and Capital One Cup action, per WhoScored.com.
However, he faces renewed competition to play under new boss Jurgen Klopp. Christian Benteke, Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino are all very capable of doing a job at the sharp end of the pitch, and Klopp is yet to show his hand as to which strikers he prefers.
Ings, along with Sturridge, have the advantage of being Liverpool's most in-form forwards. However, any time lost to injury would hand his rivals opportunity to steal his starting spot, so the 23-year-old will be keen to put his latest setback behind him.
