College Football Championship 2026 Odds, Box Score Prediction for Miami vs. Indiana
The second champion of the 12-team College Football Playoff era will be crowned on Monday night in Miami.
The Miami Hurricanes have the rare opportunity to play in the national championship inside their home stadium.
Miami played well above its No. 10 seeding over three rounds, but now it faces its toughest challenge yet against the top-seeded Indiana Hoosiers.
Indiana is one win away from finishing one of the best single seasons in college football history.
The Hoosiers have won all season with the combination of a terrific offense, led by Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza, and a defense that doesn't allow a ton of points.

Miami Box Score Predictions

Miami's Mark Fletcher Jr. is in the running for Most Valuable Player of the entire playoff.
The running back hit at least 90 rushing yards in each of Miami's three playoff victories.
Miami needs Fletcher to be effective on Monday night to keep Indiana's offense off the field and to provide balance for its own offense.
The Hurricanes haven't asked Carson Beck to do everything from the quarterback position. Beck delivered in clutch moments in the semifinal round, but he hasn't been tremendous for three games because he hasn't had to due to the balanced attack.
When Beck airs it out, Malachi Toney will be the top target. The freshman wide receiver has some of the best speed in all of college football and can be the difference-maker against a tough Indiana defense.
Ideally, the Hurricanes would get 80-100 yards from Fletcher to go along with 150-200 passing yards from Beck and a few explosive plays from their wide receivers.
That should get Miami to 20-25 points and the victory, as long as its defense shows up, like it has all postseason.
There's always the fear that Indiana's defense takes over and overwhelms Miami, like it did to the Oregon Ducks, but the Hurricanes have a strong offensive foundation in place.
Stat Predictions
Mark Fletcher Jr.: 85 rushing yards, TD
Carson Beck: 13-21, 175 passing yards, TD
Malachi Toney: 60 receiving yards, TD
Indiana Box Score Predictions
3 of 3
Fernando Mendoza receives most of the attention inside the Indiana offense because he won the Heisman and is the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Mendoza is the driving force of the offense, but he has an abundance of skill position players that deserve credit in their own right.
The Hoosiers have a wide receiver trio of Omar Cooper Jr., Charlie Becker and Elijah Sarratt that have hurt opposing secondaries in the playoff. The running back duo of Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black has done its share of damage as well.
Indiana's depth at running back and wide receiver separates itself from Miami on paper. The Hurricanes defense could slow down every aspect of the Indiana offense.
However, the Hurricanes have been susceptible to high pass-yard concessions in the last two rounds.
If Indiana runs away with the game, it will likely do so through its passing game. Sarratt was the top pass-catcher against Oregon, but Becker and Cooper have had their moments in key games as well. All three wide receivers could have over 50 yards.
Stat Prediction
Fernando Mendoza: 25-37, 240 yards, 2 TD
Elijah Sarratt: 70 receiving yards
Charlie Becker: 50 receiving yards, TD
Omar Cooper Jr.: 55 receiving yards, TD
