Chennedy Carter Shades Azzi Fudd, Calls Out Critics in Social Media Posts After Aces' Loss to Wings

Andrew PetersMay 30, 2026

Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd may have outplayed Las Vegas Aces star Chennedy Carter this week, but the rookie still hasn't earned the respect of the veteran.

Carter took a shot at Fudd on social media after fans called her out for losing the battle against the young player. She also alluded to still being on a "leash" in Las Vegas.

"Not to mention, I made her ankle touch the ground," Carter wrote on Threads. "But y'all can hollar at me when my leash is off, too. It's completely unfair, even though statistically, it's not even close."

Former NBA All-Star Michael Redd encouraged Carter to stay off social media.

The Aces lost their matchup to the Wings 95-87 on Thursday, as Fudd posted a game-high 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field, while Carter had 14 points on 6-of-11 from the field.

Carter is having the better season so far, putting up 19.1 points per game off the bench, but Fudd is starting to heat up after back-to-back 20-point games.

The two players will meet again in June when the Aces travel to Dallas, and that matchup gets a bit more interesting after Carter's recent comments.
