WWE NXT Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction and Highlights From Dec. 30

Chris Mueller

Welcome to Bleacher Report's live cover of WWE NXT on December 30.

Not only was this the final show of 2025, but it was the final show before New Year's Evil next week, so WWE made sure it had some big matches set up.

Here's a look at what WWE advertised for Tuesday's show:

  • Joe Hendry holds a special concert
  • Je'Von Evans vs. Ricky Saints
  • Ethan Page vs. Moose (North American title)
  • Jacy Jayne vs. Wren Sinclair
  • Let's take a look at what went down on this week's NXT.

    Ethan Page vs. Moose

    1 of 8
    NXT

Last time in action: Page lost to Dr. Wagner Jr. (AAA, Dec. 20), The System lost an eight-man tag (TNA, Dec. 7)

The final NXT of 2025 opened with Moose making his entrance for his North American Championship match against Page.

All Ego decided to get an early advantage by attacking Moose during the official introductions. It looked like Moose might turn things around quickly, but a collision with the steel steps put his momentum to a stop.

When we returned from a break, Moose was favoring his left arm but still beginning to make a comeback. All Ego kept finding ways to counter his offense, so it never felt like the challenger had control for very long.

Despite a good effort from the challenger, Page emerged victorious in the end. This was a solid 15-minute match, but it was a little surprising to see this open the show instead of closing it. As usual, Page was on top of his game.

    Result: Page defeated Moose

    Grade: B

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Moose's entrance looked good in the NXT arena.
    • The first commercial break happened seven minutes into the show. It felt earlier than usual.
    • Moose's spinebuster looked good but it also looked like he almost lost his grip.
    • The bump Moose took when Page hit a Codebreaker was a bit exaggerated but looked good.
    • The WWE barricades are basically Lego blocks now.

    Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley

    2 of 8
    NXT

Izzi Dame came to the ring alone to call out Tatum Paxley because Shawn Spears and Niko Vance are too afraid of what Paxley will do.

Dame called Paxley a coward and said she can't be fixed. The crowd chanted for Tatum until her music hit and she came out to respond.

Paxley said she doesn't need friends like Dame. She needs friends who have been with her since the start like the NXT Universe.

Paxley said they will have another match next week before taking Izzi down with her finisher. This was a decent segment, but it was slightly ruined by a couple of people in the crowd right at the end.

Dame has gotten very comfortable on the mic and it wouldn't be surprising to see her called up to the main roster faster than usual.

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • The NXT year-end awards were announced on the show. The first award for Male Superstar of the Year went to Je'Von Evans.
    • Dame did a great job not getting distracted by the crowd's chants while she was speaking.
    • There was a fan screaming throughout the entire segment that probably should have been removed.
    • After this segment, the Tag Team of the Year award was given to Zaria and Sol Ruca.

    Jacy Jayne vs. Wren Sinclair

    3 of 8
    WWE Archive

Last time in action: Fatal Influence lost a six-woman tag (NXT, Dec. 2), Sinclair lost to Ruca (NXT, Dec. 9)

Sinclair got a chance to get her hands on the NXT women's champion this week, but unfortunately for her, Jayne's title was not on the line. This was just prep before Jayne faces Kendal Grey next week.

Jayne was able to take control almost immediately and punished Sinclair in the corner with some stomps to the face.

Throughout this match, Sinclair was fighting to gain some traction only for Jayne to stop her in her tracks. It was a dominant performance from the champion, which is something we don't see often enough in her matches.

This ended up being a fun bout with a quick pace. Sinclair played a good underdog, but sadly for her, she wasn't able to pull off the upset. Jayne was able to hit the Rolling Encore for the pin and the win with surprisingly little help from her cohorts.

Grey made the save during a post-match beatdown and cleared the ring of all three members of Fatal Influence by herself.

    Result: Jayne defeated Sinclair

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • It was kind of weird that Grey didn't accompany Sinclair to the ring for this.
    • Sinclair is one of those people who seems so suited to being a babyface that it would actually be interesting to see how she fares as a heel.
    • Sinclair sold the slingshot into the middle rope really well.
    • The running knee from Jayne always looks insanely brutal, which makes it look great.

    Joe Hendry Live in Concert

    4 of 8
    SmackDown

His last concert was cut short by The Miz, so Hendry was hoping he might be able to finish a full song when he held another concert on this week's show.

He recalled some of his biggest moments from 2025 and said he has written a song to wrap up an amazing year.

Tony D'Angelo could be seen standing at the top of the stands as Hendry sang, but it wasn't supposed to be too obvious that he was there, so the announcers never mentioned it until the end of the segment.

The lights went out and DarkState showed up to attack Hendry in a four-on-one beatdown. This wasn't a bad segment, but it felt rushed.

    Grade: B-

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • We begrudgingly admit that Booker T singing Hendry's entrance music was funny.
    • This was Hendry's best song since coming to WWE.

    Tavion Heights vs. Lexis King

    5 of 8
    NXT

Last time in action: Heights defeated Eli Knight, King defeated Andre Chase (NXT, Dec. 17)

The finals of the men's Speed tournament took place this week, with Heights and King fighting over the title shot against Jasper Troy.

As soon as the match started, Heights grabbed King and hit a belly to belly suplex to win the match in a matter of seconds.

We're not going to provide a typical grade for this match because there is no fair way to judge a squash. This made Heights look great, though.

    Result: Heights defeated King

    Grade: Incomplete

    OTM vs. Swipe Right

    6 of 8
    WWE Archive

Last time in action: OTM lost to Hank and Tank (NXT, Dec. 16), Swipe Right lost a tag match (Evolve, Dec. 17)

After making Lucien Price and Bronco Nima mad during a backstage segment last week, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes found themselves across the ring from them on Tuesday.

Predictably, OTM absolutely dominated their much smaller opponents right out of the gate. This was like watching two adults beat up two children. That is how big the size difference was.

Baylor and Smokes were able to take control with some dirty tactics, but it didn't last very long. The powerhouses quickly regained the upper hand and continued destroying both men and Jackson Drake when he tried to interfere.

OTM scored a quick but energetic win with a double-team spinebuster spot. This wasn't much of a match, but it made OTM look better than they have in a while.

    Result: OTM defeated Swipe Right

    Grade: C

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • OTM has so much potential, but WWE hasn't done enough to make them feel like the dominant force they should be.
    • Swipe Right are good sellers. They are not afraid to look like cowards to put over their opponents. Baylor has some similarities to Dolph Ziggler/Nic Nemeth's selling.

    Je'Von Evans vs. Ricky Saints

    7 of 8
    NXT

Last time in action: Saints lost to Oba Femi (Deadline), Evans lost to Loredo Kid (AAA, Dec. 20)

Former friends stepped into the ring to do battle in the final NXT match of 2025 when Evans faced Saints.

Evans went after Saints as soon as he got to the ring, but the former NXT champion quickly turned things around and made it an even fight.

Once Saints began focusing on his opponent's leg to ground the high-flyer, he seemed to find his groove.

It took until after the commercial break for The Young OG to begin building up a head of steam. Saints began to grow frustrated after failing to put Evans away with a tornado DDT.

These two worked together to put on a fun and frenetic main event. The ref was taken out when Evans accidentally hit him with a springboard cutter, so Saints took advantage of the situation and hit a low blow.

A new ref arrived to count the pin for Saints just after he hit his finisher.

    Result: Saints defeated Evans

    Grade: B+

    Notable Moments and Observations

    • Ruca was announced as the winner of Female Superstar of the Year.
    • Saints was a good babyface, but he seems so much better suited to being a heel. He is so great at being smarmy.
    • The ref bump spot with Evans looked good.

    The Final Word

    8 of 8

The final NXT of 2025 was a bit of a mixed bag, but the good stuff outweighed the bad, so that helped end the year on a high note.

Having two very short matches on the show didn't exactly help, but OTM and Heights both came out of those bouts looking dominant.

Jayne and Sinclair had a solid performance, as did Moose and Page, but Saints and Evans stole the show in the main event.

These two guys work so well together as both allies and opponents. Sometimes you strike gold with a combination of Superstars, and WWE may have found that with Evans and Saints.

Next week's show is being built up to feel as big as a PLE for NXT, so hopefully the black and gold brand sticks the landing.
