Georgia vs. Alabama Preview and Predictions For SEC Championship 2025
The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide have been the most consistent fixtures in the SEC Championship Game over the last decade.
UGA and Bama combined to win all but one SEC Championship Game dating back to 2014.
Alabama had the upper hand in the last three head-to-head meetings in Atlanta. The Crimson Tide have been the dominant force in the rivalry as a whole with just one loss in the last dozen meetings.

Preview
Alabama comes into Atlanta as the most successful team in SEC Championship Game history and with a significant edge over Georgia in their rivalry.
Bama is 11-4 in SEC title games, but this is the first time it is participating in the event with Kalen DeBoer as head coach.
Georgia won last year's SEC title game in overtime over the Texas Longhorns. It comes into Saturday with one regular-loss to Alabama on September 27.
Alabama's success in the two UGA meetings under DeBoer have been fast starts. UGA recovered to play better in the second half in each contest, but it was unable to recover from a double-digit deficit each time.
Alabama may struggle to start strong on Saturday because of its injuries at running back.
Jam Miller is in doubt to play due to a leg injury, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. That would make third-string running back Daniel Hill the starter.
Alabama ran for 117 yards in the September win over UGA. If there's less support for Ty Simpson through the ground, the Bulldogs might be able to tee off on the Bama quarterback.
Georgia's success came through the ground in September. It ran for 227 yards and two scores as a team.
If UGA can replicate that success and get Bama's offense off the field early in the first quarter, it has a clear path to victory.
There aren't many clear-cut advantages across the matchup, but if UGA can dictate the time of possession with a successful ground game, it gives less time to Simpson to find a rhythm.
It's also worth noting Gunner Stockton has experience in the SEC Championship Game from his fill-in role last year against Texas. Simpson's been great all season for Bama, so that shouldn't matter, but it's worth keeping in the back of your mind.
The margins are really slim, but if Bama is inefficient with one part of its offense, it could have trouble scoring at will against a UGA defense that got much better after the September 27 loss.
Prediction: Georgia 21, Alabama 13
