49ers' John Lynch Discusses Possibility of Brandon Aiyuk Trade Ahead of 2026 NFL Draft
San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch doesn't appear to be in a rush to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
While speaking to reporters on Monday, Lynch said he doesn't consider it "a high probability" that Aiyuk will be traded ahead of the 2026 NFL draft this week, though he added that there's "a chance" that could change.

Lynch declared after the 2025 season that Aiyuk wouldn't be returning to the 49ers. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed a similar sentiment earlier this month that the team will wait for the right deal before moving him.
"I don't have a date for it," Shanahan said at the annual league meetings in Phoenix. "But I know eventually it'll resolve itself. Hopefully, we could get something for [him]. And I know we're in no rush to do that."
Lynch reiterated on Monday that the 49ers are "in concert on where we're going with Brandon," so all signs point to his eventual departure from San Francisco, even if he isn't moved during this week's NFL draft.
