WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2025 Match Card Predictions After Crown Jewel

Graham GSM MatthewsOct 12, 2025

Following the disappointing debacle that was Wrestlepalooza last month, Crown Jewel a mere three weeks later had the tall task of getting the WWE product to trend back in the right direction.

All in all, the latest premium live event emanating from Perth, Australia was a vast improvement.

Seth Rollins and Stephanie Vaquer reigned supreme as the new holders of the Men's and Women's Crown Jewel Championships, respectively. Both of their bouts against Cody Rhodes and Tiffany Stratton were well wrestled, but it was the last-ever encounter between John Cena and AJ Styles that stole the show.

Elsewhere on the card, Bronson Reed scored the biggest win of his career by beating Roman Reigns in an Australian Street Fight while Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vanquished the threat to The Kabuki Warriors in tag team action.

Fans have already shifted their focus toward Survivor Series: WarGames on Nov. 30 in San Diego with rumors running rampant as to what the card will consist of. An installment of Saturday Night's Main Event is set to take place beforehand on Nov. 1, so anything is bound to change between now and then.

These are the matches that make the most sense to transpire at Survivor Series: WarGames 2025.

Ripley, Sky, AJ, Bayley, Valkyria vs. Asuka, Sane, Lynch, Perez, Rodriguez (WarGames)

1 of 5

Since the WarGames match made its main roster debut in 2022, WWE has gotten into the habit of holding one for the men as well for the women annually at Survivor Series. The WarGames stories with the men have largely made sense and necessitated the stipulation at the event, whereas the effort put into the women's matchup has been far from equal.

Recent installments of Survivor Series have seen random women thrown together for five-on-five teams inside the two cages simply for the sake of doing WarGames, and this year appears to be no exception.

There truly is no overarching story in the Raw or SmackDown women's divisions at the moment that would require WarGames, but that doesn't mean WWE won't somehow force an issue between 10 female names, anyway.

The only option is to combine existing rivalries with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky with The Kabuki Warriors, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria with The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, and AJ Lee with Becky Lynch.

Of course, this would work infinitely better in a traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match, but the talent involved should ensure it's a spectacle inside WarGames, regardless.

CM Punk vs. LA Knight

2 of 5

Last Monday's Raw saw CM Punk, LA Knight and Jey Uso stake their claim for a shot at Seth Rollins' World Heavyweight Championship. It was a similar scene two months ago when the three fan favorites stepped up to challenge Rollins for the title in a Fatal 4-Way at Clash in Paris but fell short.

Later in the show, Punk and Knight successfully teamed up to take down The Usos, but not without teasing some tension along the way and at the end. All signs point to their bad blood not being over, nor should it be considering the chemistry they've had so far in the ring and on the mic any time they've crossed paths.

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Punk is slated to collide with Rollins once again at Saturday Night's Main Event on Nov. 1 for the World Heavyweight Championship. That should mark the end of their rivalry, at least for the foreseeable future.

Knight being the one to cost Punk that golden opportunity would be enough to kick off a feud between them heading into Survivor Series where they can wage war one-on-one.

It wouldn't matter if Knight turns heel before then or remains a beloved babyface. Punk and Knight are overdue for a meaningful program and it's worthy of the Survivor Series stage.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton (Undisputed WWE Championship)

3 of 5
SmackDown

From John Cena to Drew McIntyre to most recently Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes has had his hands full with a variety of adversaries throughout 2025, but one opponent who has had a consistent presence in the background of all of these stories has been Randy Orton.

The two had their first one-on-one encounter since Rhodes' return to WWE at Night of Champions back in June. It was there that Rhodes took advantage of Orton's hesitation to hit the his patented punt kick to secure not only the three count but also a rematch with Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam, where Rhodes regained the gold.

When they teamed up on the Oct. 3 edition of SmackDown, Orton ate the pinfall loss from Bronson Reed. It was teased earlier in the evening that Rhodes viewed Orton as the weak link, and the more beatings that Orton has endured for his longtime ally, the more that statement has rung true.

The Viper will need to snap on the sooner side and cement his heel turn by betraying Rhodes. He should unquestionably be next in line for a shot at the prestigious prize, and it'd be fitting for him to get it at Survivor Series with that event being where he had so much success early on in his career.

If the World Heavyweight Championship won't be defended at Survivor Series, then the Undisputed WWE Championship would need an appropriate attraction and this would be it.

Gunther vs. Sheamus (Finals of John Cena Invitational Tournament)

4 of 5
Monday Night RAW

Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a tournament will be held in the lead-up to John Cena's retirement match on the Dec. 13 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event to determine who his final opponent would be.

No other details are known as to when the tourney would commence or who would be a part of it, but there aren't a plethora of obvious options based on the projected card for Survivor Series (assuming that's where it will culminate) and who's currently active.

Gunther should be the one who wins it all, but as who he faces in the finals, Sheamus would as logical of a choice as anyone given his extensive history with Cena dating back to their battles over the WWE Championship in 2009 and 2010.

It was actually on Dec. 13, 2009 that Sheamus defeated Cena in a Tables match for his first WWE title. He hasn't been seen on WWE TV since losing to Rusev at Clash at the Castle but could resurface for such a special occasion and to rekindle his rivalry with Gunther in the finals.

If nothing else, greatness is guaranteed whenever Gunther and Sheamus step inside the squared circle together, and Sheamus having yet to conquer The Ring General in singles competition would add more drama and uncertainty to the outcome.

Reigns, Usos, Cena and Fatu vs. The Vision, Lesnar and McIntyre (WarGames)

5 of 5

Unlike with the women, there appears to be a clear vision (pun intended) of what the men's match inside WarGames will look like at Survivor Series this year, and it revolves entirely around Seth Rollins and his new dominant stable.

The Vision have been running roughshod over the Raw roster since they first formed on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41. They've made many enemies in that time, and come Survivor Series, all of them should want revenge.

The ongoing drama surrounding Roman Reigns and The Usos all but confirms they'll be a part of it. If CM Punk and LA Knight are settling their own score on the show, the former Bloodline will have to find other partners to pick for their team.

Their family ties to Jacob Fatu would make him a strong fit provided Drew McIntyre, who has always had a disdain for Reigns and his Bloodline brethren, is on the opposing side. For their fifth partner, they should choose John Cena, who has never wrestled in WarGames before.

This could be Cena's chance to give Brock Lesnar, who recently reunited with Paul Heyman, his comeuppance for how he squashed him at Wrestlepalooza. Thus, the match would see Reigns, The Usos, Fatu and Cena take on Lesnar, McIntyre and The Vision's Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the double cage.

The combatants are bound to change, but this loaded lineup might make for the most memorable WarGames match possible.
