WWE's Most Underrated Superstar in Each Division on Raw and SmackDown
So much time is spent in wrestling discourse discussing what is going wrong and who is not living up to their position. This leaves a far more interesting conversation unheard.
Who are the talent that have not received enough opportunities? Who are the wrestlers doing their job well as support but rarely getting credit for it?
WWE has a loaded roster of great stars across Raw and SmackDown (not even mentioning NXT), and not everyone is going to get their due.
This is a great time though to discuss a few names that genuinely should be getting more credit.
The following is the list of the most underrated superstars in every single division for Raw and SmackDown.
Women's Tag Team: Fatal Influence
1 of 11The women's tag team division is the only division in WWE that technically stretches across all three brands: Raw, SmackDown and NXT.
This opens up the opportunity to discuss some of the rising stars in NXT that could play a much bigger role on the main roster.
While Sol Ruca and Zaria have started to gain a foothold on the main roster, feuding with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, it is a different NXT women's tag team that feels poised to break out down the line.
Fatal Influence is currently a combination of two of NXT's long-standing female veterans, Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley, who have a combined seven years of experience in NXT.
In the past year, Henley won the Women's North American Championship while Jayne has taken over the women's division, still standing as NXT women's champion.
Despite this recent success, the long term future for both women is more likely as a tag team on the main roster.
If NXT had not put so much behind them while preparing the next generation of rising female talent, Fatal Influence would likely already be contending for tag gold on the main roster.
Both are strong in-ring workers whose best work was as tag team wrestlers, both holding the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships in the past.
They can hold their own as promo workers and should not be stuck in NXT for too much longer.
Jayne could not be in a better spot in NXT right now, but it is clear fans are eagerly waiting for fresher stars like Lola Vice, Jaida Parker and Lash Legend to take the NXT Women's Championship and run with it.
Once that reign is over, fans should pay attention to how high Jayne and Henley can go as a duo as long as NXT does not break them up first, much as they did their past alliances.
Raw Men's Tag Team: The Creed Brothers
2 of 11Julius and Brutus Creed left NXT as one of the most hyped tag teams of the modern era. These were two guys that were supposed to take over on the main roster.
Instead, The Creed Brothers have worked the main roster for almost two years and still not even won tag team gold together.
Both have strong amateur wrestling backgrounds that allow them to compete at a high level against any competition.
Julius especially showed impressive flashes in NXT that indicated he might even be a great solo star down the line, echoing some of Kurt Angle's best in-ring stylings.
Julius just turned 31 while Brutus is just 29 year old, so they both have time to take over in WWE. That is no excuse for ignoring them though.
Alongside ivy Nile, they cannot seem to find a place on the card while Chad Gable is out. American Made can do more though than just work behind Gable.
The future is still bright for The Creed Brothers, but this is a team that should be looking to dethrone he Judgment Day as World tag team champions.
SmackDown Men's Tag Team: Pretty Deadly
3 of 11SmackDown's tag team division is loaded with talent. The Wyatt Sicks could have fresh rivals for the next year after their latest defeat of The Street Profits.
DIY, Motor City Machine Guns, Fraxiom, Los Garza and MFT all have major upside that make SmackDown's tag team division feel exciting.
Yet it always feels like one team is left out of the running: Pretty Deadly.
Kit Wilson and Elton Prince are far too entertaining to only play side acts on SmackDown, but they have not looked like serious contenders since arriving on the main roster in the 2023 WWE Draft.
Two-time NXT tag team champions and the last NXT UK tag team champions, Elton and Kit were the stars of the tag division in NXT.
They are both great wrestlers and entertainers, yet for these past two years, WWE has struggled to figure out how to use them, even giving them an awkward musical gimmick that did not land.
Elton is currently out injured while Kit has been thrown around backstage by Damian Priest.
When Elton is back healthy, WWE should find a way to get Pretty Deadly more directly involved week to week.
If SmackDown does not have a spot for them, Raw could use more tag teams, and they have quality history with New Day dating back to NXT.
Raw Women's Intercontinental: Kairi Sane
4 of 11Where does Kairi Sane stand on the current WWE roster?
She is in the top angle in the women's division that does not involved a championship.
Asuka is building credibility again as a future world championship contender, which leaves The Pirate Princess in a position more likely to focus on the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Until the last month, Sane was mostly an afterthought on the women's roster, standing in the shadow of The Empress of Tomorrow.
She is quickly rising though through this story, gaining popularity as the conflicted heel that just wants her family to get along.
Where The Pirate Princess has especially been underestimated is in the ring. While greatly respected in her first run in WWE, she started slow after her return in 2023.
However, she has found her speed and focus again in 2025 and looks like one of the best on Raw this year.
She has especially benefited from working with Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley this past month, building up her credibility.
While names like AJ Lee and even Maxxine Dupri have been floated to be the next Women's intercontinental champion, Sane has the highest ceiling of just about anyone right now to run with that title.
SmackDown Women's United States: Alba Fyre
5 of 11While NXT UK was not a long-running success, it established many of WWE's top stars including Rhea Ripley and Gunther.
Alba Fyre should have been another star that rose to the top after NXT UK's end, holding the NXT UK Women's Championship a record 649 days before her transition to NXT.
Instead, she struggled to find her place until aligning with Isla Dawn as The Unholy Union. The two did their best in an under-served tag team division including winning the Women's Tag Team Championships for a short run.
However, Fyre has never looked like the dominant force she once was in NXT UK, and it has led to many underestimated how good she truly is.
She has a solid role in Chelsea Green's Secret Hervice that should keep getting her TV time, but Fyre has more than enough upside to go after and capture gold.
Green was the first Women's United States Championship and often talks about how much she cares about the legacy of that title.
Giulia is the perfect champion right now to elevate the title, but down the line, Fyre would fit perfectly as the next woman up.
At her best, Fyre could compete with top names in the ring and on the mic, and she still just 33 years old. There is no reason not to explore how high she can reach, especially with an entertaining star like Green behind her.
Raw Men's Intercontinental: Grayson Waller
6 of 11When a wrestler has the talent to compete at any level and can out-talk most of the roster, they should be considered amongst the best in the business.
Instead, Grayson Waller has found a side role on the main roster, supporting New Day and working more often as a talk show host than a title contender.
That should not be the case forever, but at 35 years old, WWE cannot wait forever to strap a rocket to Waller's back.
Even in NXT, it always felt like Waller was close to top contention but never quite trusted to run with the ball.
This makes little sense especially as he falls into a role eerily familiar to The Miz. The A-Lister won plenty of gold over the years, and Waller is arguably more athletic than Miz at his best.
Waller would be a perfect heel rival for either midcard championship if he was not playing third string behind Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
His role in New Day makes little sense, yet he is still making the most of working with quality veterans with heat to stay relevant.
Hopefully, one day soon, that relevance will pay off.
SmackDown Men's United States: Rey Fénix
7 of 11Who is Rey Fénix? Since his debut in March 2025, the luchador has not had a strong opportunity to define himself on SmackDown.
He has mostly avoided the usual luchador booking of pairing up with Rey Mysterio so far, but he has looked like a man without a home instead.
One half of one of All Elite Wrestling's greatest tag teams and a former AEW international champion, there is so much more that Fénix can do.
His in-ring talent rivals anyone in the business, especially in terms of his ability to fly and springboard.
While he does not have the over-the-top style of his brother Penta, he could easily take on Sami Zayn's role with the United States Championship, delivering great matches week after week.
WWE fans that do not know Fénix's work in AEW has no idea how good he can be.
Raw Women's World: Raquel Rodriguez
8 of 11Raquel Rodriguez has never truly contended in the Women's World Championship picture, but there is no reason she could not be in that conversation right now.
Roxanne Perez has stepped up to challenge Stephanie Vaquer next, but it is Rodriguez who has the greater credibility to contend with La Primera.
Big Mami Cool has had a rocky journey in WWE, primarily working as a tag team wrestler with various partners, but her size and strength stand out amongst her peers.
She is one of the few women larger than Rhea Ripley, setting up many big matches between them.
Her in-ring style has evolved over time to lean into her size. Recently, she has especially looked like someone who could be too much for anyone that steps up to her.
Rodriguez has also made the most of her mic time in The Judgment Day and should have a major role on Raw when Liv Morgan returns regardless of who she supports between Morgan and Perez.
Especially in a time where Vaquer is desperately in need of more challengers, Rodriguez could challenge her tomorrow, and it would be easily believable.
SmackDown Women's World: Bianca Belair
9 of 11Who are the best women's wrestlers in the world? Becky Lynch is often brought up in that conversation alongside Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky in WWE.
Too often, Bianca Belair is left out of the discussion despite delivering at the highest level especially on the biggest shows.
She is arguably the best WrestleMania performer of any woman in WWE between her matches with Lynch, Sasha Banks, Asuka and the triple threat with Ripley and Sky.
While WWE has booked Belair consistently as a top name, it is the fans that seems to not respect her as much as she has earned.
She is frequently booed by fans despite always playing the face, not liked as much as the other top names in the company.
Perhaps she needs a heel turn to truly shine again at the top of the company as the only fault in her work lately is stale character work.
The EST lives up to her name time and again and will hopefully be right back in the top title picture when she returns from injury.
Raw Men's World: LA Knight
10 of 11LA Knight has been a rising name in the world title picture going on two years. Fans have rooted him on, even when he could not get on TV.
That fan support has forced WWE to book him more and more. However, while it has led to more screen time, Knight could only find success as United States champion on SmackDown.
His move to Raw pushed him into the World Heavyweight Championship conversation, but his chance of actually winning that title still has not risen.
WWE has repeatedly pointed out that The Million Dollar Megastar should be a world champion.
He is one of the best mic workers in the world right now, emulating the greats like The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with a throwback style fans still respond to.
His in-ring work was often cited as the reason for his struggles to reach the top of the company, but he has consistently disputing that claim with strong matches against a variety of opponents.
He could be the World heavyweight champion tomorrow, and it would not be shocking. However, he could also be lost in the shuffle behind CM Punk, Jey Uso and Bron Breakker.
SmackDown Men's World: Damian Priest
11 of 11Damian Priest may be the least respected man to carry a world championship in the last few years.
The Punishment delivered in his run with the World Heavyweight Championship and continued to deliver throughout his rivalry with Drew McIntyre after losing the gold.
Despite all of this, he has not been positioned as a viable contender to the WWE Championship while the man he defeated, McIntyre, is constantly in that conversation.
Priest has it all. He is a strong worker and talker. He has the size to believably contend with anyone.
However, WWE does not seem interested in putting him back in that conversation, more likely to go after the United States Championship any time soon.
This is simply a mismanagement of Priest's talent and leaves SmackDown short on main event acts.
