Founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, the first season of Unrivaled was a massive success last year, as six teams and 36 players delivered high-caliber basketball from January to March during the WNBA offseason.
Two new teams in Breeze BC and Hive BC have been added for the 2026 season, and the overall player roster for the league will grow from 36 to 48.
The 30-year-old Gray enjoyed a career year in the WNBA this season, averaging 18.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 three-pointers made and 1.1 steals per game.
She was named an All-Star for the third consecutive season and finished fourth in the WNBA MVP voting.
The 2017 WNBA Rookie of the Year and 2024 WNBA Three-Point Shootout and Skills Challenge champion played for Lunar Owls BC in Unrivaled last season, finishing 13-1 in the regular season before getting upset in the semifinals of the playoffs.
Copper, 31, is already part of an exclusive group of players to have won both a WNBA title and an Unrivaled title.
She won her first and only WNBA championship with the Chicago Sky in 2021, and she was named WNBA Finals MVP that year as well. Last year, Copper helped lead Rose BC to the inaugural Unrivaled championship with Chelseas Gray, Angel Reese, Brittney Sykes, Azurá Stevens and Lexie Hull.
Copper is a four-time WNBA All-Star and one-time WNBA Three-Point Shootout champion, and her Mercury eliminated the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty in the first round of this year's playoffs.
Like Gray, Austin played for Lunar Owls BC during the inaugural season of Unrivaled in 2025.
Selected third overall by the Mystics in the 2022 WNBA draft out of Ole Miss, Austin missed significant time during the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to hip injuries.
She rebounded to average a career-high 12.7 points to go along with 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals in 38 games this season, earning her WNBA Comeback Player of the Year honors.
The 31-year-old Williams also played for Lunar Owls BC last season, and she is a 10-year WNBA veteran.
Williams earned her second career WNBA All-Star selection this season with averages of 13.6 points, 6.2 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 three-pointers made and 1.3 steals per game.
A former All-Big 12 First Team selection at Texas, Sutton recently completed his fourth WNBA season, averaging 7.4 points, 3.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointer made per game for the Mystics.
Sutton, 26, will make her Unrivaled debut in 2026 after not playing in the league last season.
