Dana White Says UFC White House Fight Card 'Is On' After Meetings in Washington, D.C.
Having teased the event for two months now, UFC president Dana White has confirmed the event at the White House on July 4 next year will take place.
In a video posted on social media, White said the show "is on" after his meetings with White House officials that "couldn't have gone better" and he will provide more details in the coming weeks.

During an event in Iowa on July 3, President Donald Trump tossed out the idea of holding a UFC event on the White House lawn as part of his America 250 celebration next year.
"So every one of our national parks, battlefields and historic sites are going to have special events in honor of America 250. And I even think we're going to have a UFC fight," Trump said. He also expressed a desire to have anywhere from 20,000 to 25,000 people attend the event.
White said a week later that Trump's comment came as a surprise, but he quickly got in touch with White House officials to start planning out an event. He has also vowed to deliver the "baddest card of all time" for the show.
Given the amount of security at the White House, White has said he's not even sure "how many people can get in" and anyone who does attend will be subject to background checks.
Several fighters have expressed an interest in participating in the event. Michael Chandler is still trying to make his long-gestating fight with Conor McGregor happen. Jon Jones offered to come out of retirement, though White has dismissed the possibility of him being on the card.
