Rampage Jackson Says He's Gotten Death Threats Over Son Raja's KO on Wrestler in Video

Doric SamAug 26, 2025

MMA legend Rampage Jackson says he's been the target of death threats following his son Raja's incident with a wrestler from this past weekend, per TMZ.

"There's a lot of racist people giving me death threats and stuff like that," Rampage told content creator Joy Of Everything while leaving LAX on Monday night, adding that he's been called a "bad father" among other insults. "It's uncalled for."

In a viral video of the incident that occurred during an independent event for Knokx Pro Wrestling on Saturday, Raja Jackson is seen slamming Stuart Smith, who wrestles as Syko Stu, to the mat before punching him repeatedly. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Jackson and Smith planned the original slam, but Jackson went off-script with the additional punches.

Smith was hospitalized, and his brother, Andrew, wrote in a Facebook post that he "is currently conscious and able to talk but will have a difficult recovery ahead," per CNN's Ben Morse. The post stated that Smith sustained "severe injuries to his head," but he "does have some recollection of events from the day of the attack."

Rampage Jackson commented on the incident on social media on Sunday, saying Raja had recently suffered a concussion. There was also a video of an argument between Raja and Smith in which Smith hit him on the side of the head with an empty beer can, though Smith was later seen apologizing to him.

"I've been confirmed that the wrestler ( Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable. Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith's match, Raja was told that he could get his 'payback' in the ring, I thought it was apart of the show," Rampage wrote. "It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don't condone my son's actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, I'm deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I'm very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation."

KnoxX Pro released a statement on Facebook calling the incident an "egregious act" that "never should have occurred." The Los Angeles Police Dept. told TMZ that it is investigating the incident, though no arrests have been made.
