Rampage Jackson Comments on Son Raja's Scary KO on Wrestler Syko Stu in Viral Video

Joseph ZuckerAug 24, 2025

MMA legend Rampage Jackson issued a statement after his son, Raja, laid a series of blows on another wrestler during an independent event for Knokx Pro Wrestling on Saturday.

In a video of the incident, Raja Jackson slams Stuart Smith, who wrestles as Syko Stu, to the mat and proceeds to punch him multiple times. According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Jackson and Smith planned the original slam, but Jackson went off-script with the ground-and-pound offense.

His father went on social media to "clear up the misinformation about my son Raja," explaining Raja was still recovering from a concussion he recently suffered.

"I've been confirmed that the wrestler ( Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable. Raja was unexpectedly hit in the side of the head by him moments before Smith's match, Raja was told that he could get his 'payback' in the ring, I thought it was apart of the show. It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong. Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don't condone my son's actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, I'm deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I'm very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery.I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation."

KnoxX Pro also issued a statement on their Facebook, calling what happened an "egregious act" and something that "never should have occurred."

Los Angeles police told TMZ that they took a report after being called to the event and are investigating.

Smith and Raja Jackson had an argument earlier in the day, with a video detailing a portion of the aftermath as Smith apologized.

Sapp reported Smith was hospitalized and suffered "serious injuries." His status beyond that remains unknown.

WWE star Rusev condemned Jackson's actions and said he's "praying" for Smith:

YouTuber MrBeast took to social media to offer to help cover Stu's hospital bills:
