The annual extravaganza celebrating Little League Baseball around the globe will have a new champion in 2025.
Last year, the Southeast Region representative from Lake Mary, Florida, defeated the Asia-Pacific Region team from Chinese Taipei. While the latter country returns to this year's tournament, it will not be the same team representing it, as Tung-Yuan LL takes over for Kuei-Shan Little League.
Still, that country's redemption story will be one to watch in 2025, as will that of the home state squad, Glenmoore Eagle LL, out of Upper Uwchlan Township, Pennsylvania.
That team is undefeated in tournament play and, with the fans in Williamsport behind them, should be considered one of the favorites to represent the United States, even with an otherwise loaded field of competitors.
Florida is not even represented this year as the Southeast Region belongs to South Carolina. Japan is always a tough match-up and Joto LL from Tokyo should be no exception, as will Puerto Rico's Juan A. Bibiloni LL.
Any of those teams can conceivably win the tournament, not to mention four or five others. A wide open field with no clear-cut winner makes for a more unpredictable, fun, and captivating tournament and that is what makes the annual Little League World Series one of the best times at the ballpark all year.
