Karrion Kross, WWE Reportedly Expected to Agree to New Contract amid Rumors
A level of internal skepticism remains about whether Karrion Kross is truly a free agent after signaling his WWE contract expired.
On the newest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer called Kross' situation a "weird one" and said at the 3:11 mark of the video below that "the belief in WWE is that he's gonna be back."

Meltzer made a comparison to R-Truth's brief sojourn as an independent talent. WWE released R-Truth on June 1 and then had him return at Money in the Bank less than a week later after his exit was met with a lot of fan outcry.
Kross posted an hourlong video Sunday announcing the expiration of his WWE contract. He outlined his desire to stay with the company, which he didn't think was reciprocated.
Kross and wife Scarlett posted on social media they're open to new bookings:
Considering how long Kross' contract saga has simmered, it's easy to see why his WWE departure is considered by some to be part of a larger story. The fan reaction toward the 40-year-old also speaks for itself. This isn't a case of a wrestler fading into irrelevancy and being quietly let go.
If the WWE Universe comes to believe Kross got a raw deal, then it could help him build an even bigger following. The risk — assuming this is all scripted — is that everyone mostly thinks he's coming back anyway, so his return isn't the big surprise WWE is hoping for.
