Power Ranking WWE Top 10 Men's and Women's Stars

Erik BeastonAug 11, 2025

The stars of WWE have shone brighter than ever in 2025, thanks to increased exposure on Netflix, in mainstream media and their roles on the company's weekly programming.

From world champions to industry icons, they have been at the forefront of WWE's continued boom period and show no signs of slowing down.

But who have been the top 10 men's and women's stars in WWE through the first seven months of the year?

Find out with this set of rankings, which take into consideration in-ring success, overall popularity and significance to the product.

Nos. 10 - 6

1 of 11
SmackDown

*Liv Morgan and Bianca Belair are not included in this list because they have missed significant time this year due to injury.

Women's No. 10: Giulia

The women's United States champion just makes this list over Chelsea Green, thanks to greater upward momentum on her side and a new on-screen partnership with Kiana James. An outstanding in-ring performer, she is still finding her feet and audience on the main roster.

Men's No. 10: Jacob Fatu

Fatu has not been as dominant as he was in 2024, but he is still a wrecking ball beloved by fans amid a high-profile feud with former New Bloodline cohorts Solo Sikoa and Co. Possessing undeniable aura and jaw-dropping athleticism, he is headed for main event stardom sooner rather than later.

Women's No. 9: Bayley

The Role Model is heating back up after a so-so start to the year, thanks to her involvement in the Lyra Valkyria-Becky Lynch rivalry. Mounting frustration, a lack of high-profile wins and a deteriorating relationship with the former have hinted at a heel turn for the former champions, and that should do wonders for the future Hall of Famer.

Men's No. 9: Sami Zayn

The picture of consistency, Zayn continues to be one of the most popular and beloved stars on the roster, simply by being himself. The consummate underdog who fights for what is right and finds himself in pursuit of the World Heavyweight Championship, he will put a bow on his Hall of Fame candidacy if and when he finally strikes that gold.

Women's No. 8: Lyra Valkyria

Arguably the breakout star of the year, Valkyria has proved she is not just a superb in-ring performer, but that she can also go verbal blow-for-blow with a top star and talented talker like Becky Lynch and not look out of place. Her excellent series of matches against The Man only solidifies her spot on this list.

Men's No. 8: Bron Breakker

Breakker answered his Intercontinental Championship loss to Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 41 by becoming the first disciple of Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman the next night on Raw and has not looked back. Ready to explode as a main event attraction, the second half of 2025 could be the most significant stretch of his career.

Women's No. 7: Stephanie Vaquer

La Primera has been biding her time since making the jump to the main roster from NXT, and she is ready to challenge for, and win, any championship she challenges for. An elite in-ring performer with the ever-important superstar aura, she could see her star rise even higher than it has with a win over Naomi at Clash in Paris for the Women's World Championship.

Men's No. 7: Jey Uso

Uso is, arguably, the most popular star on the WWE roster, with an enthralling and engaging entrance. He's a character the audience genuinely loves. He also won the World Heavyweight Championship this year, paying off a five-year odyssey. While he dropped it back to Gunther in short order, there is no denying Uso is finally what his nickname says he is: main event.

Women's No. 6: Charlotte Flair

In most years, Flair would be further up this list, but she spent the first half of 2025 recovering from a botched return and an unsatisfying feud with Tiffany Stratton. Currently, though, she finds herself in an entertaining partnership with Alexa Bliss, with the duo gradually developing chemistry and friendship as tag team champions. Expect a big second half from The Queen as she wins over the WWE Universe.

Men's No. 6: Gunther

The two-time world champion shook off a WrestleMania 41 loss to Uso to refocus himself and regain his title in a memorable Raw main event. He retired Goldberg and headlined SummerSlam Saturday against CM Punk as his career year continued. Still, the level of star power ahead of him on this list means he has to settle for a spot just outside of the top five.

Women's No. 5: Becky Lynch

2 of 11
Monday Night RAW

Lynch rediscovered her edge in the first half of 2025, thanks to a heel turn that saw her attack Bayley and cost The Role Model a spot on the WrestleMania 41 card. She then betrayed Lyra Valkyria and kicked off that rivalry.

Along the way, she delivered superb in-ring performances, reminded everyone of her mic excellence and has made history by adding the Women's Intercontinental Championship to what is already a Hall of Fame resume.

Throw in a teased feud with Nikki Bella over the title and you have a woman who is not only one of the biggest stars in women's division history, but also one of the measuring sticks for excellence in the company, regardless of her division.

Men's No. 5: Roman Reigns

3 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

Make no mistake about it: Roman Reigns is still the biggest star in the WWE Universe, despite coming in at No. 5 on this list.

Reigns competed in the Royal Rumble, headlined WrestleMania 41 Saturday against Seth Rollins and CM Punk, returned to television after a hiatus, and partnered with Jey Uso to defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in the opening match of the 2025 SummerSlam.

He made it through the first half of the year without a championship, but it did not matter as OTC1 proved his unwavering popularity and set himself up for a monster, marquee feud with Rollins over the World Heavyweight Championship if and when WWE wants to revisit that deep, layered story.

Women's No. 4: Iyo Sky

4 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

This one may be a bit controversial, but The Genius of the Sky's placement on this countdown is more indicative of the strength of the women ahead of her than an indictment.

Sky won the Women's World Championship in March and spent most of the year establishing herself as one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet through a series of defenses, including a victory over Belair and Rhea Ripley in a match of the year candidate at WrestleMania 41.

She added another superb match against Ripley at Evolution and even after dropping her title to Naomi, who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract in the closing moments of that bout, has remained as popular with fans as she was at any other point in her career. A measuring stick for in-ring excellence in 2025, regardless of her division.

Men's No. 4: John Cena

5 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

Had John Cena been allowed to be John Cena throughout the first half of 2025, he would have cracked the top three of this list.

As it is, he is fresh off a match of the year contender against Cody Rhodes that saw him drop the Undisputed WWE Championship back to The American Nightmare in the main event of SummerSlam.

Before that, though, he trudged through a heel run that started with one of the greatest betrayals in wrestling history but was bogged down by a lack of creative follow-up that can be attributed to non-existent availability from The Rock and a falling out between WWE and rapper Travis Scott.

An all-time great whose face belongs on the Mount Rushmore of professional wrestling, Cena has earned the love and adulation of the audience, even if his retirement tour took an unexpected, and largely unwanted, detour through six months of the year.

Women's No. 3: Naomi

6 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

It may have taken a bit longer than some would have liked following her return at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but Naomi finally sits atop a women's division as its champion and centerpiece, thanks to an extraordinary heel turn earlier this year.

Upon the revelation that it was she who attacked Jade Cargill and put her out of action with an injury, The Glow basked in the opportunity to show off her evil side, embracing the darkness and warning everyone to proceed with caution.

The new edginess and attitude netted her the greatest success of her career, first with a Money in the Bank victory and a successful cash-in at Evolution, where she defeated Sky and Ripley to win the Women's World Championship.

She doubled down on the success a few weeks later, successfully retaining against them in a scheduled Triple Threat match to kick off SummerSlam Sunday.

If WWE can resist the urge to have her put over Vaquer at Clash in Paris on August 31, she has the potential to become a true centerpiece of the women's division heading into 2026.

Men's No. 3: Cody Rhodes

7 of 11
SmackDown

The American Nightmare has not had the banner year his 2024 was, thanks to some uneven creative and a WrestleMania 41 main event that did not hit with audiences.

Still, Rhodes was the standard-bearer for class and dignity as the face of WWE, the top babyface on the roster and the centerpiece of the SmackDown brand.

The winner of the 2025 King of the Ring tournament and victor in a brutal ladder match against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble, the second-generation star remains one of the best in professional wrestling.

Once again the undisputed WWE champion after a thrilling victory over John Cena, Rhodes figures to reestablish himself as the guy in professional wrestling through the rest of 2025.

Women's No. 2: Tiffany Stratton

8 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

There was great uncertainty surrounding Stratton and her ability to lead a women's division as its champion when she cashed in her Money in the Bank contract and defeated Nia Jax earlier this year.

She has silenced many doubters, though, with strong performances both alongside and against Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, in her WrestleMania 41 victory over Charlotte Flair and against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam.

While her character remains a bit too one-dimensional for some people's liking, she has continued to evolve as an in-ring performer and earn her status as champion.

How long that can continue remains to be seen, but there is no denying her resume in 2025 is befitting of a top-two finisher on this list.

Men's No. 2: CM Punk

9 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

The Best in the World has emerged as the top babyface on Raw and one of the smartest, most engaging workers in the business.

Punk finally achieved a lifelong goal of competing in the main event of WrestleMania with his match against Reigns and Rollins, then engaged the latter in a rivalry that saw him wage war with longtime rival and former friend Paul Heyman.

A five-star classic against Gunther at SummerSlam saw him win the World Heavyweight Championship, only for Rollins to cash in Money in the Bank and ruin his triumphant return back to the top.

Fear not, though, as Punk continues to be one of the biggest stars in the industry and someone poised to remain in the world title picture for the foreseeable future.

He is also one of the faces of the flagship show, on the world's largest streaming service. Not bad for a wrestler more closely resembling Old Man Logan than Wolverine at this point in his career.

Women's No. 1: Rhea Ripley

10 of 11
WWE - 2025 SummerSlam

Mami may have lost more marquee matches in 2025, but there is no denying her place as one of the top stars in all of WWE, making her the clear-cut No. 1 on the women's side of this list.

She won the Women's World Championship from Liv Morgan on the Netflix debut of Raw on January 6, putting an end to that lengthy program and capturing gold on one of the most historically significant nights in WWE history.

From there, she competed in a fantastic WrestleMania 41 match against Sky and Belair, battled the former at Evolution in another superb match, and narrowly lost a Triple Threat match with Sky to Naomi at SummerSlam.

Despite those three defeats, Ripley saw her star reach levels previously inconceivable for the Australian. Greeted by one of the loudest ovations of any wrestler in any building she appears in and a centerpiece of the women's division, she is on a level of stardom in WWE typically reserved for the likes of Punk, Reigns and Cena.

That she is becoming as recognizable on social media as any of them only enhanced the argument for her topping this list.

Men's No. 1: Seth Rollins

11 of 11
Monday Night RAW

The Visionary has enjoyed his finest year since 2015, becoming the central heel on Raw and the man around whom several of the company's top rivalries revolve.

His feud with Punk kicked off the year on the right foot, with Rollins competing in the main event of the Netflix debut episode of Raw. Frustration mounted following that loss and a subsequent elimination from the Royal Rumble, leading him to attack Punk and Reigns, setting up the main event of WrestleMania Night 1.

A win in that match, coupled with a betrayal by Heyman that aligned him with The Architect, elevated Rollins' star and he has not looked back since.

Add to that one of the greatest injury ruses of all time, and the second historic Money in the Bank cash-in of his career, and you have a reigning world heavyweight champion who is only going to be a bigger part of the WWE product through the rest of the year.
