WWE Clash at Paris 2025 Match Card Predictions After SummerSlam 2025 Results
With a newsworthy SummerSlam done, WWE fans now look ahead to what should be an equally eventful Clash in Paris premium live event on August 31.
Previous installments emanating from Wales and Scotland saw Drew McIntyre headline and attempt to take home a world championship. This show may be no exception if he ends up challenging Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship as was teased at the end of Friday's SmackDown.
SmackDown also included the official announcement that John Cena will wage war with Logan Paul in Paris. The two have never gone one-on-one before and should have an entertaining outing based on the electric environment alone.
WWE has a history of featuring only five matches on its international events, but a sixth contest should be added to round out the card in France. There are a slew of storylines that could culminate based on everything that went down in the immediate aftermath of SummerSlam on SmackDown and Raw.
Three weeks out from the event, these are the complete card predictions for Clash in Paris 2025.
Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer (Women's World Championship)
1 of 5
Within months of debuting on the main roster, Stephanie Vaquer already finds herself in contention for a top title on Raw.
The former NXT women's champion earned the opportunity to challenge for the Women's World Championship by winning a tri-branded Battle Royal at Evolution in July and has continued to build momentum since then with wins over The Secret Hervice in singles and tag team action.
The women's world title will first be defended by Naomi against former champ Iyo Sky on Monday's Raw, though it would be premature for The Glow to lose the belt so soon after winning it. The same can be said for Naomi vs. Vaquer at the end of the month.
Although it would mark Vaquer's first taste of defeat on a big stage, she'll have many more opportunities at gold in the future. It's more important for her to look credible in defeat and for Naomi to go into her expected match with Rhea Ripley at Crown Jewel in Australia looking strong.
Naomi has made the most of her time with the title thus far, and this should be another nice defense for her.
John Cena vs. Logan Paul
2 of 5
The "real" John Cena returned at SummerSlam and left without the Undisputed WWE Championship.
However, the path for the remainder of his retirement tour is clear: He'll be battling a variety of foes before eventually settling his score with Brock Lesnar, who resurfaced at the end of SummerSlam.
His first opponent post-title reign being Logan Paul makes perfect sense. Cena is the beloved babyface and the YouTuber is the ultimate heel foil for him.
Even without anything at stake, it's a worthy attraction for an international PLE, in addition to the guarantee that it will be a quality contest from an in-ring standpoint.
Cena has a limited amount of appearances and matches left before he calls it a career, and regardless of how fans feel about the social media star, it's undeniable that he's one of WWE's more prominent performers and is worthy of being one of the veteran's final adversaries.
Paul has long wanted to square off with The GOAT, and it's only appropriate it happens on such a monumental occasion.
Dominik Mysterio vs. AJ Styles (Intercontinental Championship)
3 of 5
Dominik Mysterio and AJ Styles have been at odds virtually from the moment the latter returned to Raw earlier this year.
They finally faced off for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam and, with a few nods to classic Eddie Guerrero antics, Mysterio managed to retain the title.
The feud appeared to be finished until Styles confronted the titleholder on the next night's Raw.
At this stage of his illustrious career, The Phenomenal One has nothing to gain from winning the Intercontinental Championship for a second time. He'd be booked as a fighting champion and would likely provide the belt with a nice boost, but it would mean more for Mysterio to beat him again and extend his reign even longer.
All signs point to tensions boiling over between Mysterio and Finn Bálor at some point, but any plans for a Judgment Day breakup may have been put on hold when Liv Morgan got hurt earlier in the summer. In the meantime, Mysterio should keep rolling as intercontinental champ.
It's possible this winds up on an upcoming episode of Raw, but Styles deserves to be on this card after the exceptional reaction he received in Lyon, France at Backlash last year.
Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre (Undisputed WWE Championship)
4 of 5
It's interesting that John Cena vs. Logan Paul was made official for Clash in Paris almost as soon as SmackDown started, yet there was no confirmation Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will meet for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the same show.
It was heavily teased during the tag team main-event on SmackDown when Cena and Rhodes beat Paul and McIntyre by disqualification that the Scot has his sights set on the title Rhodes reacquired at SummerSlam, possibly at Clash in Paris.
Friday's episode ended with McIntyre putting The American Nightmare through a portion of the commentary table with a Claymore. Although the angle felt like a write-off for Rhodes from WWE TV for a few weeks, it's realistic to assume he'll be back in time for August 31.
McIntyre is fresh off a tag team win alongside Paul over Jelly Roll and Randy Orton at SummerSlam, so he's a logical challenger for Rhodes. There's almost no chance of the champion losing the title to him at Clash in Paris, but it would be criminal for this to be a one-off.
For the third straight time at a Clash show, McIntyre may fall short of walking away with world title gold.
CM Punk, LA Knight and Roman Reigns vs. The Vision
5 of 5Seth Rollins' new faction, aptly named The Vision, have had complete control of Raw dating back to the night after WrestleMania 41.
They are still in the process of finding their footing chemistry-wise, but Rollins being in possession of the World Heavyweight Championship makes matters infinitely more intriguing going forward.
LA Knight was the last person to pin Rollins before he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam, but WWE ran the match on Monday's Raw instead of holding off on it until Clash in Paris.
Predictably, CM Punk got involved to save Knight from eating a Curb Stomp on the exposed floor and inadvertently cost him the top title by doing so.
Punk and Knight arguing as Raw went off the air implied a Triple Threat for the title could be where WWE is headed, but there's a different direction that might be a better fit for Clash in Paris.
It isn't imperative that the World Heavyweight Championship is defended when the undisputed WWE title will also be up for grabs, so a six-man tag team match—a first for the group—would be more suitable, specifically with The Vision battling the trio of Punk, Knight and Roman Reigns.
A big win for the babyfaces would put them in prime position to challenge Rollins for his coveted title at Crown Jewel.
