Goldberg competed in his retirement match at Saturday Night's Main Event in his adopted hometown of Atlanta this past weekend.

The WWE Hall of Famer fell to world heavyweight champion Gunther in a hard-fought battle, and Goldberg gave a retirement speech afterward.

However, by the time SNME returned from commercial, there was less than one minute of airtime left on NBC, and Goldberg's speech was cut off and did not air on NBC in its entirety.

During an appearance Tuesday on the Ariel Helwani Show (h/t Sean Rueter of Cageside Seats), Goldberg took issue with several aspects of his retirement match, including the truncated speech.

"They cut me off in friggin' 20 seconds with a microphone in my hand," Goldberg said. "I got two weeks before I can really spill the beans and make my feelings known about the entire rundown from the inception of the idea to its delivery."

Goldberg went on to suggest that WWE may have planned to cut him off all along, calling it "the ultimate rib."

Goldberg added: "I'm not saying it was done on purpose by any stretch of the imagination. I'm saying that it wasn't prepared for on purpose—that's all. ... They wouldn't do that to Taker, right? I don't think. They’re not gonna do that to [John] Cena. Cena's going around the world doing his retirement thing."

In response to Goldberg questioning whether something nefarious happened behind the scenes regarding his speech, an anonymous senior WWE official denied that was the case to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News).

The official said WWE did not "intentionally or maliciously" cut the speech short.

Regardless of the intention, Goldberg is clearly unsatisfied with many aspects of his retirement match, which begs the question of whether he will attempt to have another retirement match either in WWE or elsewhere.

Rollins' Injury Reportedly May Not Be Serious

Seth Rollins' match against LA Knight at Saturday Night's Main Event came to an abrupt conclusion when Rollins' suffered a knee injury, but a new report suggests the ailment may not be significant.

Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News) that Rollins' injury is "minor," and that WWE "worked" the knee injury at Saturday Night's Main Event, which suggests it was already known about beforehand and written into the match.

Alvarez added that he expects WWE to provide a lengthy timeline for Rollins' recovery, such as nine months, only for Rollins to make a surprise return much sooner than that, perhaps by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

That report contrasts with some details provided by Rollins himself during an appearance Wednesday on the Rich Eisen Show.

Rollins said he requires the use of crutches and a knee brace, and that he felt a "pop" while landing a missed springboard moonsault during the match against Knight.

The Visionary added that initial imaging couldn't determine much because of swelling, but he hopes to have more concrete answers in a week or two when he gets more imaging done in a week or two.

Rollins' best guess as of now is that he will miss an "extended period" of time due to the injury.

If Rollins is taken at face value, then Alvarez's report may simply be inaccurate, but there is always a chance in pro wrestling that something is part of the show more so than a real-life situation.

Whatever the case, it sounds like Rollins will be off WWE programming for the foreseeable future, which is a major loss since he has been the top full-time heel in WWE ever since WrestleMania 41 thanks to his stable with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Reported Reason for Travis Scott's WWE Absence

Rapper Travis Scott had a huge presence on WWE programming earlier this year, but he has not been seen since WrestleMania 41.

Cory Hays of BodySlam.net openly wondered Tuesday what happened with Scott, noting that he was "looking to work a match" involving John Cena and was supposed to be DLC in WWE 2K25 before getting replaced by El Grande Americano.

In response, TC of WrestleVotes responded that they were told Scott is "not a quick learner for the business," which could explain why he was pulled from the product.

Scott appeared at Elimination Chamber in March alongside The Rock in a segment involving Cody Rhodes. Cena turned heel on Rhodes during the segment, and Scott aided in the beat-down of Rhodes.

Then, at WrestleMania 41, Scott interfered in the main event match between Cena and Rhodes, and helped Cena beat Cody to become a record-breaking, 17-time world champion.

WrestleVotes reported there were plans for Scott to appear at Money in the Bank in June, but that did not come to fruition.

The main event of that show was Cena and Logan Paul vs. Rhodes and Jey Uso, leading to speculation that Scott was either originally supposed to team with Cena or help him.

Instead, Ron "R-Truth" Killings made a surprise return by attacking Cena, allowing Rhodes to pin him.

Coming out of WrestleMania, The Rock noted that Scott had been doing some pro wrestling training, and he expected Scott to wrestle a match at some point.

That has yet to come to fruition, and it is perhaps fair to wonder if plans involving Scott have been delayed or possibly even abandoned.
