Charley Hull 'Feeling a Lot Better' After Collapsing on Course at Evian Championship
Charley Hull provided an update on her health in an Instagram post after collapsing to the ground at the 2025 Evian Championship on Thursday.
"Been struggling with a virus all week but it got the better of me yesterday… thanks to the medics who took care of me and to all those who have reached out with messages of support, it’s really appreciated," Hull wrote in the caption, via the Associated Press (h/t ESPN). "Happy to say I’m feeling a lot better today, just gutted I can’t play the weekend at such a fantastic tournament."
On Thursday, Hull collapsed twice on the fourth hole during the first round of the major and was forced to withdraw. She left the course on a cart.
She received an IV drip at the course but did not need hospital treatment, according to BBC Sport's Matt Davis and Lorraine McKenna.
The two-time LPGA winner was one under after 12 holes before her exit.
Hull entered the Evian Championship searching for her first major championship.
She'll now look ahead to the next major on the LPGA schedule, the AIG Women's Open, starting on July 31.
