Livvy Dunne Says She Was Denied from Buying Babe Ruth's $1.6M New York Apartment
Livvy Dunne's sizable profile may have conspired against the former LSU gymnast in her effort to make her first real estate investment.
Dunne said Tuesday on social media (via the New York Post's Jacki Thrapp) she was looking to buy an apartment, which once belonged to MLB legend Babe Ruth, in New York City's Upper West Side for just under $1.6 million. However, the building's co-op board denied her application at the eleventh hour.

Dunne said she and her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, had started to work with an interior designer because it would've been "criminal" to bring her college furniture into such a luxurious space.
The 2024 NCAA champion said she wasn't told why the co-op board ruled against her.
"Honestly, it wasn't financial," she said. "It could have been, for all I know, they could have been Alabama fans and I went to LSU. Maybe they didn't want a public figure living there, but I was literally supposed to get the keys and that week they denied me."
Maybe somebody on the board is a Pirates fan and wants to keep Skenes away from the Big Apple at all costs.
