Champion Prediction: Arkansas Razorbacks
4 of 4
Arkansas has reached the College World Series for the 12th year in program history, but they've never been the last team standing.
However, this year they enter with the lowest championship odds per DraftKings Sportsbook.
Star shortstop and SEC Player of the Year Wehiwa Aloy leads a dominant offense whose .558 slugging percentage is sixth-best in the nation; they are one of five teams to average 2+ HR per game, and they average just below 9 runs per game.
But even more important, the Razorbacks' pitching is disciplined.
Van Horn's team allows the fourth-fewest walks per game, with a pitching staff that has a 3.91 ERA, ranking in the top ten in the nation.
While facing teams like LSU, UCLA, or Murray State from the start can be challenging, the Razorbacks possess no weaknesses, increasing the likelihood of a championship run, perhaps against a team like Oregon State in the final.
Prediction: Arkansas over Oregon State the MCWS.
