Arkansas Quest Of A First College World Series Championship
Arkansas may be entering the College World Series for the 12th time, but they've never been the last team standing.
Led by SEC Player of the Year Wehiwa Aloy, the Razorbacks have the shortest odds of winning it all at +195 per DraftKings Sportsbook.
This team has very few holes offensively, with six starters batting at least .320.
Arkansas will have their hands full with an equally talented LSU squad, aiming for its second CWS championship in the last three years.
Can Coastal Carolina Win It All Again?
Coastal Carolina enters the College World Series on a 23-game win streak.
The Chanticleers stunned fourth-ranked Auburn 4-1 to join the last 8 for the first time since 2016, when they won the national title.
And now, for the first time since their 2016 triumph, they'll face runner-up Arizona.
The Chants have an impressive catcher in Caden Bodine, who is a top-50 prospect; however, their success relies upon pitcher Jacob Morrison, who was 11-0 this season with a 2.15 ERA, with batters hitting below .200 against him.
Anything less than Morrison's best will likely plague the Chants from the get-go.
Will Murray State Continue Its Improbable Run?
After stunning Duke in an elimination game, Murray State became the 4th Regional 4-seed to make the Men's CWS since the tournament expanded to a 64-team format in 1999.
The Racers are making their first CWS appearance and enter with plenty of momentum, but the task is about to get more difficult with a talented UCLA squad looming.
Murray State is capable of continuing their run, but much of their success will depend upon Jonathan Hogart, who has 22 home runs, none bigger than the 6 he has this tournament so far.
If Hogart can continue to be a spark for this team, watch out for the Racers.
