Prediction
3 of 3
Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn has made 12 trips to the Men's College World Series but has never won a national championship.
That changes this year.
The Razorbacks swept both Vanderbilt and Texas, outscoring their opponents by a total of 50-16.
Strong pitching depth, quality hitters, and the ability to bounce back from a loss should they encounter one makes the team a potent opponent. A well-rounded team, led by top prospect, shortstop Wehiwa Aloy, on offense and left-handed pitcher Zach Root, Arkansas has everything it needs to rewrite history and provide Van Horn the national title that has eluded him during his 37 years as a head coach.
Their first-round match-up against LSU is the marquee game of the tournament and it would not be surprising to see the winner hoist the NCAA championship at the end of this year's MCWS.
Prediction: Arkansas wins their first world series
