NCAA Softball Championships 2025 Dates, TV Schedule, Times, Bracket and More
The race for glory in Oklahoma City is set to begin.
Eight programs are ready to compete in the 2025 NCAA Women's College World Series as the NCAA softball tournament wraps up.
Oklahoma, the four-time reigning champion, enters as the favorite in a truly fascinating bracket. On the Sooners' side, they're surrounded by familiar, top-ranked SEC foes Florida, Texas and Tennessee. The opposite, however, boasts four teams that weren't expected—by national seed, at least—to make the WCWS.
The winners of the bracket ladders then play a best-of-three series to determine the national champion.
Because of the tourney's unique crossover format, though, it's still possible two of OU, Florida, Texas and Tennessee reach the Finals anyway. One of those programs might just need to travel an adventurous route to get there.

WCWS Preview
3 of 3
Because the WCWS does not re-seed teams, the 2025 bracket may seem imbalanced. The popular gripe lately is that the four highest-seeded remaining teams—OU, Florida and the UTs—being on one side of the bracket is unfair.
First of all, that's a disservice to the other four programs.
Texas A&M's stunning departure opened the door for Oregon, while UCLA, Texas Tech and Ole Miss each won super regionals on the road. The ever-improving parity in the sport has been on full display this postseason.
Simultaneously, the Oklahoma dynasty is powering on. Patti Gasso's team has outscored its five opponents 47-5 in the tournament.
But the competition at Devon Park in OKC will be fierce.
During the regular season, Florida and Tennessee both topped the Sooners twice. Texas Tech's NiJaree Canady and Oregon's Lyndsey Grein are two of the best pitchers in the country, and the list goes on. It's not difficult to make an argument that several other schools are a genuine threat to OU's throne.
Oklahoma, deservedly, is the favorite. This championship, though, would be particularly impressive for the Sooners to capture.
