Patchy Mix Signs with UFC, Former Bellator Champ to Debut at UFC 316 vs. Bautista
Patchy Mix, former Bellator bantamweight champion, has signed with the UFC, John Gooden announced during UFC Vegas 106 on Saturday.
Mix is set to make his UFC debut against Mario Bautista at UFC 316 on June 7.
Mix dominated Bellator MMA over the past several years, capturing the bantamweight title in April 2023 with a win over Raufeon Stots. He successfully defended the belt twice—against Sergio Pettis in November 2023 and Magomed Magomedov in May 2024.
He holds a professional record of 20-1, with two wins by TKO and 13 by submission.
The 31-year-old enters UFC 316 riding a seven-fight win streak, stepping in for an injured Marlon “Chito” Vera to face Mario Bautista in Newark, New Jersey.
"Unfortunately, the news is real," Vera wrote on social media, via MMA Junkie. "I had to withdraw from my fight due to an injury, which is tough because I was very prepared and happy to go out there to show my improvement and fight for my dreams. I'm already working on a therapy plan to recover and be back as soon as possible. Thank you all for the support, my family, my team, and my country."
Mix faces a tough test in his UFC debut against Bautista, who is also on a seven-fight winning streak and owns a professional record of 15-2.
