Andrew PetersMay 14, 2025

Holly Holm is returning to the boxing ring.

The legendary fighter is signing with Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and already has her first fight lined up. She'll take on Yolanda Vega at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on June 28.

Holm's fight against Vega next month will be on the same card as Paul's main event bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

"I'm excited to partner with Most Valuable Promotions and return to the boxing ring," Holm said in a statement to ESPN. "This new chapter is going to be an exciting journey, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."

Holm has not boxed professionally since 2013 and has spent the last decade-plus in the UFC. Her most recent fight was a loss to Kayla Harrison at UFC 300 last April.

After getting her release from the UFC in January, Holm has been pursuing a return to the boxing world, per MMA Fighting's Damon Martin. She signed with the Global Fight League shortly after leaving the UFC, but never fought for the MMA company and instead opted to join Paul's team.

Holm began her career as a boxer with her first professional fight coming in 2005. She put together a 33-2-3 record and won world titles in three different weight classes before hanging up the gloves in 2013.

She didn't find as much success in mixed martial arts, but still posted a 15-7 record and won the UFC women's bantamweight championship after taking down Ronda Rousey in 2015.

Now returning to the boxing ring, Holm will look to start off strong against Vega.
