Mercedes Moné defeated Jamie Hayter in the finals of the 2025 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Double or Nothing on Sunday, securing an AEW Women's World Championship match at All In.

In the end, it was a perfectly timed counter into a DDT that secured the pinfall for Moné, who quickly sprinted out of the ring in celebration.
The fourth edition of the Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament featured several current and former champions, but it can be argued that none were more prominent than Moné and Hayter.
Moné, who is the reigning TBS champion, beat former TBS champion Julia Hart in the first round of the tourney and then outlasted ROH women's world champion Athena in the semifinals.
Hayter defeated former ROH women's world television champion Billie Starkz in the first round and former TBS champion Kris Statlander in the semis to earn her way to the finals as well.
Although she has yet to win the AEW women's world title, Moné has been as dominant as any women's wrestler in AEW history since joining the company last year.
The CEO won the TBS title in her first AEW match and entering Double or Nothing, she had gone undefeated in AEW singles matches since her debut.
Hayter is a former AEW women's world champ, but her path back to this point has been far different than the one taken by Mercedes over the past year.
After dropping her title to Toni Storm at Double or Nothing 2023, Hayter was out of action for over a year due to injury, but she finally returned last year at All In.
It has been a steady climb back to the top ever since for the Brit, and Sunday represented one of the biggest matches of her entire career.
Double or Nothing was Mercedes' night, though, as she got the better of Hayter to set up a potential title vs. title match against Storm or whoever is in possession of the AEW women's world title come All In.
