
NCAA Wrestling Championships 2025: Results, Updated Team Standings After Saturday
Carter Starocci remains on top of the collegiate wrestling world.
The Penn State graduate won his fifth consecutive Division I wrestling championship on Saturday after defeating Parker Keckeisen of Northern Iowa 4-3 in the 184-pound division.
He became the first collegiate wrestler to win five national championships, as he also won one during the Covid-impacted 2020-21 season.
Penn State finished the tournament with a 60-point lead on first place in the team standings.

Nebraska also had an excellent day as Ridge Lovett took home the 149-pound title and Antrell Taylor won the 157-pound division.
The Big Ten continued to have a strong day as Ohio State's Jesse Mendez won the 141-pound division and Illinois' Lucas Byrd took home the 133-pound title. Penn State also got a second champion when Mitchell Mesenbrink won the 165-pound championship.
Vincent Robinson of NC State won the 125-pound class to give the ACC some success.
Perennial powerhouse Oklahoma State had no intention of being left out of the conversation as Dean Hamiti won the 174-pound national championship.
Iowa's Stephen Buchanan claimed a 5-2 win over Penn State's Josh Barr to secure the 197-pound title.
Later that night, Oklahoma State's Wyatt Hendrickson shocked Olympic gold medalist and No. 1 overall seed Gable Steveson of Minnesota to claim the heavyweight national title.
Hendrickson was also honored with the Most Dominant Wrestler award after averaging 5.15 points in dual meets this season, according to the NCAA.
